My sister half jokingly asked when I was making rubens next. I told her when they go on clearance. I picked up six of them for the deep-freeze. I invited my sister over for dinner this evening. I smoked it and finished it off in the pressure cooker.

Made some pizzas last night. Only managed to get a shot of one. Home made dough, home made sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, red onions and artichokes.
Tried something new. Seems like all the recipes I find call for heating your oven to 550. Mine only goes up to 500. So I preheated it for at least an hour at 500, then turned the broiler on while I made the first pie and cooked it with the broiler on. 3 minutes, rotate and another 3 minutes. Gotta say, these were some of the best I've done.Rowlett, Texas

Sous vide char siu
http://chubbyhubby.net/recipes/perfect-char-siu-barbecued-pork-using-sous-vide/
Butt strips in marinade s.v. 24 hours at 137, glazed and cooked on mangrates in Traeger Ranger 450 till charred. Had a close call, caught the grease fire when it just started, should have used a drip pan to catch and elevate the grease from the heat source.
