I needed some comfort food after the less than stellar Dr's apt.
Just fried poke chops with rice, gravy and butter beans. I would have loved to have a sliced tomato but it's still a little early.
Cindy's pound cake with whipped cream and strawberries for dessert. I'm stuffed!Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Chopped up a leftover brat with sautéed onions, peppers, mushrooms, and topped with shredded mozzarella. With my kind of salad, half lettuce, half ranch, half cheese.

Shrimp Mozambique on rice and Espinacas con garbanzo:
Got the shrimp recipe from ATK, along with plenty of heat it includes worcestershire, tumeric and cinnamon.
The Espinacas is chick peas simmered in chicken broth, while you fry a panade of breadcrumbs, garlic, sherry vinegar, smoked paprika, cumin, cinnamon, cayenne, saffron and lots of EVOO. The panade is then stirred into the chickpeas with grated tomato and cooked spinach.

I gave up on ATK/CI recipes some years ago, because they were consistently toned down re: spice/heat levels. Chickpeas and turmeric were the "flatbread" of 2020, but have been staples for us, for a long while. This is my other brother Flank. 2nd from the Costco 2 pack.
Instead of fajita seasoning, wanted to go “steaky”. We went with kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper, TJ’s umami, garlic powder and white pepper. It was ridiculously good.Grill was around 500 at the highest, it was the end of a bag of WGC with smaller pieces that torched up just fine. I like using a rack to elevate once seasoned, washing it quick during cook and then it’s the resting rack. Haven’t been doing that long.Soundtrack was Justin Townes Earle radio.The fries are root veggies (carrots parsnips and red beets). Dignity is apparently not crucial to survival and they were good. -

chipotle shrimp with roasted jalapeño crema, buffalo walley(caught myself) with pico. Lobster with avacado and cilantro, rogan josh lamb with yogurt cucumber raita. Theres some coleslaw and other toppings randomly in there too
