I am one devastated egghead right about now. I ruptured my bicep tendon loading the egg into my truck. it twisted while we were lifting and the corner of the hinge jammed into my bicep with it fully loaded up with the pressure of supporting the egg. made a horrible popping sound and now my bicep is all balled up by my shoulder....
It does not hurt as bad as it looks but I'm done. Surgery likely, down for weeks
Sounds a lot like bone spurs
    I wish it was

I ruptured my biceps tendon a few years ago. Also had rotator cuff thrashed. Anterior head of biceps tendon rupture is essentially a cosmetic deformity. Your arm strength is minimally diminished. Most orrthopods do not recommend repair unless you need rotator cuff tear repair or if cosmetic concerns. I've had the surgery (everything).  Feel free to pm me. Don't let it slow you down brother.
Thanks- he mentioned they may or may not reattach. It looks like sh!t right now though. Rotators are fine so maybe I'm a freak now. No more suns out guns out

I'll send pics of the bicep later. I know you people are sick like that.
Ummmm.... Don't mean to sound morbid or anything like that , but your ER pics are usually good.

This is a bummer for sure. I signed up for tomorrow and Sat. May try to get there Sun if I can. We'll pour one out for you if you don't make it down.

@The Cen-Tex Smoker - I can't put into words how sorry both my wife and I feel for you and the team. We both know that as a volunteer you receive more than you give and it is always a blessing. Hope you will be back in action soon.

If BGEbrent is right and i get the go-sign from the ortho tomorrow, we are going anyway. If it's cosmetic, chicks dig balled up biceps. I can help without lifting heavy stuff. It's sore but not debilitating

Sucks, sorry to hear John.  We're not as young as we used to be.

Coincidentally, my buddy in WI just did the same at a Tough Mudder.  He's getting surgery Friday morning.  The docs said he would lose 40% arm strength without it.  Sent me a pic.  His tore at the elbow.

Tore in the middle. I have a tendon on in the middle on my right arm and nothing on there the left. You can actually see balled up in there.

It is. I was mad, then sad, now just really bummed.
I'm hoping for good news tomorrow. I trust Brent is correct and i hope i can salvage at least some form of help. I can shuttle people around or run food out to people in need. There has to be something a one armed guy can do.

@The Cen-Tex Smoker Brother I am sorry to hear hour news. You have my full measure of respect for what you are trying to do. I hope you are able to make the trip. It sounds trite, but I do send you best wishes.
Now - yes - you're right. We are $hitheads here. I want to see the greusome pics of the injury.

If surgery needs to be done, you can always push it off a a few weeks.  I did something similar with a recent Achilles injury due to a big pending project at work.  The scalpel will always be there.

    Sorry to see this.
Threw out my back loading my small for Frozen Fest, and literally stopped loading, and limped on.  Didn't do any heavy lifting there.  Went under the knife upon return with my neurosurgeon.

Hoping you can "soldier" on, many ways to help other than physical labor CT.
