Just bought 100 bucks of diesel. My truck had a quarter of a tank and 100 did not fill it up. Amazing.

That is crazy, the markets are nuts right now, it’s hard to know what to do. If I had more storage, that would take a lot of the guess work out of it.

I know what you’re thinking,  now we are close to the 30 game stage; is 40 points enough? Since the title race is a strong two horser, the vortex of doom through the trap door to the Championship is becoming the predominant conversation. (you might need to Google “relegation”. )

38 games a season, three points for a win and one for a draw (not a tie, the only ties are on pseudo-intellectual managers, and that’s managers as in coaches, and coaches as in not buses).   In PL history the 18th-placed team, the highest of 3 to go down every season, have averaged 35.8 points.    The absolute average for relegated teams is irrelevant because awful teams with terrible totals skew the maths.  Being better than 18th is all that matters.  And there’s a few hats in the ring this time around. All the teams from 9th upwards have greater than 36 points so we can posit their safety. 

Saturday 

Brighton v Liverpool, the Reds are on a roll and reckon they can chase down City for the title.  The filthy Seagulls are on a 4 game roll for defeats,  well done them. Bias aside, this has to be an away win. 0-2.  

Brentford v Burnley, a critical match for each team.  The Bees’ mid-week victory has punched some distance between them and the Clarets, presently in 18th but with games in hand.  I am going with home advantage and a no quarter given 2-1.

Man Utd v Spurs, easy 3-0 or 0-3.  If I had to choose,  and I do I suppose, 1-2.

Peterborough v Stoke , The Potters are only playing for pride now and make the short hop across to the East Midlands to face the Posh, who are stone cold last in the CL.  0-2

Chelsea v Newcastle, The hosts wrote the book on how to be a billionaire funded club, but due to matters of an invasive nature - they have lost their billionaire this week.  Hasn’t bothered the players as they eased to victory mid-week.  The visitors’ own evil plan for world domination is sadly taking effect, now unbeaten in 5 and more or less safe.  Meh. A return to normal service 2-0.

Everton v Wolves, Super Frank’s Toffees are in a right pickle and I don’t picture Wolves being the charitable kind with Europe on their mind.  0-3

Leeds v Norwich, five straight losses apiece and the hosts are plummeting towards the visitors.  Frankly a home win will encourage the voluptuous lady to warm her vocal cords for the Canaries.  It’ll be fun and I would love a 2-2 to keep it fun. 

Southampton v Watford,  Saints have stumbled in recent weeks but are virtually safe and a routine win against the shambolic rotten Hornets will ease anxieties.  3-0

West Ham v Aston Villa, decent test for both teams. Stevie G is making his presence felt at Villa while the Hammers’ long European season is taking its toll.  I fancy an away win, mostly - so 1-2 with a fair chance of a nil all.

Arsenal v Leicester,  usually Jamie Scrotum scores against the Gunners but his knees are playing up,  well his is 94 you know.  Let the good times roll for little Micky-tetta 3-0.

Monday

Palace v Man City, ending proceedings is an exciting but ultimately fruitless run around for the mighty Eagles.  Although we did a number on them earlier in the season, that won’t happen again.  0-2.

I don’t care what you make of all that, but only British bacon is proper bacon.  There, I said it.

Jesus, the Cricket write ups read just like the soccer ones.  Are all sports the same over there?

British sports are like British meals: lacking all flavor and novelty, carrying on for far too long, and with only the occasional (often unwelcome) surprise to break up the monotony.

As for your prognostications, probably because I worked all night, I'm feeling that Man U are going to have a particularly good tie match tomorrow (tie can only be used to refer to a cup match - correct?) and they will defeat the Spurs (which is hard to write as a San Antonio NBA fan).

I also think that Wolves are due for a mediocre outing which will allow Super Frank's Toffees to achieve a 1-1 tie draw.

Lastly, Leicester is likely to give the Gunners more of a game than you think.  They'll still lose 2-1 but they'll play their scrotums out in search of a tie draw.

Thank you!  I am super excited.  This is a once in a lifetime build for me.  Really looking forward to getting it done and throwing some parties.  I do not like cooking inside, and my dogs are going bonkers because they have had to stay inside for a good portion of the last 6 months.

First time I have hired everything out too.  It is weird having people do the work for you.  Last 3 houses I have done the majority of the work myself, this one was beyond my meager talents.
