    Laying in bed with my girlfriend and all the dogs. Listening to winter storm. Wind is currently 20 mph here supposed to gust to 40 in the next bit as rain turns to snow. 
    Big ole fat raindrops hitting house now. 
    DuckDog is sound asleep he’s used to me dragging him out in this weather to chase the birds. However.... . Duck chihuahua hasn’t left his side since this started or either been right with us and is scared to death.

    Love me some Scrooge McDuck swimming action, but with the way the world is going, a pool full of potable water may be worth more than all the gold in the world.  Always have to look at the bright side.

    @JohnInCarolina - I do have that game on and a bit surprised at the relative ease Tennessee is handling Kentucky's speed in transition.

    @Acn - everything in your front pockets and zipped.  But the city has an atmosphere that while I am not artistic enough to capture here is (well was-last time there 2019) energetic and electrifying.  As said here before, my favourite European city.  Enjoy the visit and especially Camp Nou.  
    Never did catch a match there but did the tour.  (The opening visit hook was a wayward son who spent four years there before covid won (he was not infected) and he is now back in the states working instead of being a professional student.  More than you needed to know!

    I am hopeful that this is not the fountain for the pool you mentioned earlier. It could have been so much more!

    Some more serious comments/questions, 1) Why elevate the pool deck/coping 18" above grade (rain/runoff/view over the fence - nice cactus by the way)? 2) What is the surface inside the pool? Gunite? 3) Where is the pool equipment room? Filter type/chlorinator/heater/chiller/pic's.

    Really looking forward the final pic's - kitchen/pool/landscaping - in all its glory.

    Brings back a lot of memories. Maybe we should do tribute thread sometime... paella on the Egg.  I have done a few over the years, but... I use the Matfer Bourgeat Black Carbon Steel Paella Pan (18") and makes for a great dinner party and feast as long as you get the socarrat done well.

    Maybe even chuletillas de cordero lechal - I have never done these before but have eaten more than my share over the years (best ones for me are in the Santander - Bilbao corridor). Would love to learn on the Egg.  

    Oh well, just a bit jealous of you right now. Hope you and your family make magnificent memories. Vaya con Dios.
