  • Well SRF is out of stock on their porchetta roast.   That's a shame.

Make sure you sign up for the SRF email alert when the product is back in stock.

Saw that at the Costco Business Centre yesterday. Is that where you scored it?

@ColtsFan - Big Brother has connections with @paqman.  Be wary of those residing in the GWN.   =)

Looks like a great Dutch oven and all, but given your recent acquisition, I would just as soon return it and go for the Finex DO to match your pan. Of course, you’d have to lob off the handles for it to fit on your Egg. 😂

I love that Costco. We live about 5 mins from it and we go there instead of the regular Costco whenever we can. Have met friends in the parking lot to divide up cases of brisket. Best part is, it’s always dead! Amazing.

I considered that but I mostly cook tomato based meals in my DO so the seasoning would get stripped right away.  I already have a huge Lodge CI DO for when I bake beans in the sand or on the egg (no handles).

The Finex was an impulse buy.

I don’t know why it is always empty, we went there before the holidays fully expecting it would be crazy full but nope, almost empty.  The quality of the meat is hit and miss, the short ribs were super thin (about 1/2 as thick as the last rack I got there).

It smells awesome right now!  Time to go take care of 1.5 feet of snow… Dinner will be ready when I get back in.

@WeberWho that is an outstanding deal you snagged.  I love my Meater, for that price, I would have bought another.

Usually you can buy up to three of any item.  Some things sell out fast.

I'm glad to hear you like yours. I figured it was worth the try for the price.

I was hoping to buy a few more but no such luck. The website only allowed you to buy one per household. I tried ordering the item again but was pretty much blocked right away. My third attempt was through a browser that blocks website tracking and was able to get past where I was blocked earlier but the item was already sold out. I guess they only had so many.

Unfortunately they limited it to one per household. I only knew about the deal because someone posted it over on the Brethren. I didn't know how legit or real the posting might be. You also had to download the app to receive the deal. I would have posted the deal over here on the forum but I wasn't going to keep anyone awake until midnight or even 1am depending on your time zone for something that might not be legit. I figured I'd stay awake and post it here on the forum once the sale went live. The sale hardly lasted 15 minutes. I figured it would be a 12-24 hour sale. No such luck. Just shows you I know nothing about Woot or how it works....

My first time using Woot. The sale went live at midnight. I tried snagging a second one as they only let you buy one per customer. Eighteen minutes later they were sold out. What a strange site....

Thanks, I just ordered one (long distance version) only at a 10% discount though

Bought a pair of those last Thursday. Merril is one of the few available in wide sizes.
  • Merril hiking boots are great, water proof and soo sturdy.  Do a lot of tromping thru the bush.

Merrill makes much of their boot line in the good ol' USA.  Some in Vietnam, but they don't hire starving children.

Just "bought" (via taxes downstream) the free covid test kits.  Early roll-out link in the below article thru the USPS:

I ordered four this morning.  Curious to see how this all works out.

Also, is it 4 kits with 2 tests a piece like you get at Walgreens, or is it 4 tests total?
