Wow I am still in shock. Life is so fragile.  I was fortunate to have met Brent and Nichole at all the Butt Blast. Such a genuine guy with a big heart.  He was always encouraging and helping us through his cooks and providing advice when you needed it. I watched him this past April at Butt Blast going around and coordinating the donations for the Rowan Helping Ministries. What a smile he had on his face and  joy in his heart to do and provide help for others.... My prayers go out to Nicole and family during this difficult time. Miss you Brent!!

We would not have raised a third as much as we did for charity this past year were it not for Brent.  He stood on top of a picnic table encouraging people to donate several times.  He did that entirely on his own and it made a huge difference.

This one hurt. Was just floored when I heard the news. I, like some of the others, never met Brent in person but we chatted off line from time-to-time. Sometimes it was something he was passionate about. Other times it was a cook he liked (or didn’t). Who was behind which troll account, who was being an a$$hole that night.  But more often than not he was razzing his friend  “the d!ckhead from dook!” over something all while inviting me to to come tour the petting zoo at butt blast (last week). 

My heart aches for his family and for our forum family as well. 

You guys who are close, please forward our love and support to Nichole and the family. Some of you have a lot of heavy lifting ahead; don’t forget to take care of yourselves as well.

Brent was the very first person to donate money towards feeding the veterans this past spring when I posted a link here on the forum. I wish I had the pleasure of meeting him. These stories just shows you the kind of person he was. Willing to help you if you were a stranger or not.

Wrapping up BB19, Brent and Nichole stopped by our campsite as we were packing up to head out. Brent picked up our big trash bag and threw it in the back of his truck, insisting that he’d pitch it in the dumpster for me. 

“Unflagging” is the word I was looking for. Describes Brent pretty well. 

Its taken me 2 days to tell caliqueen about this, and I definitely need to pour a few or more fingers of Woodford for myself. Strange how you come to consider “internet” friends to be more than that, once you hang out with them for a few drunken days each year. 

You’ll be missed very very much, Brent. Nichole- I’ve been trying hard to send you a big hug and much love. I hope you feel it from all of us here.

Brent was everything a person could wish for to have as a friend. I am so honored to have known him. An absolute tragedy. God Bless Brent and God Bless Nichole.

I can see his T shirt has a pocket! When Yukon Ron started the Butt Blast T shirt orders I asked if he could get me one with a pocket, he said he would see. Brent quickly told me that Pocket T Shirts were for Pu#$ys! So I just ordered him one and gave it to him Friday night at Butt Blast and he showed up Saturday Morning wearing it. He was just like all of us. Love and miss you Brent,

Classic Brent right there, always willing to pitch in and lend a hand, no matter how sh!tty the situation (pun intended for @caliking).

So sorry to hear this. Never been much of a participant but always enjoyed the banter and his contributions. Reminds me how precious each day is and no one is guaranteed tomorrow. RIP and prayers for the family.

Never met Brent, but still felt like a kick in the gut when I opened this thread. Always looked forward to his threads and he is on a very short list of folks whose comments carry extra weight for me on here. My condolences to Nichole, the family and everyone coming to grips with this tremendous loss.

Fellows I am overseas and just saw this post. I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person but he honest to God was one of my forum favorites. I always looked forward to getting to meet him. Now I truly regret that I did not make more of an effort. May he Rest In Peace.

While I never had the opportunity to meet Brent in person, he is one of the eggheads who had reached out to me privately in the past.  He was a real and genuine as they come.  He was kind and generous to me, beyond belief.  I am going to miss his banter and fun loving humor. I will always and forever regret not making it to Butt Blast to meet him.   

I am truly saddened by the news and will keep his family and friends in prayer.

Larry, we we fat drunk and happy after a day of eating all the sausage you donated.  It was a great time.   I only had the pleasure of seeing him twice after this.  Fortunately, we talked via text almost daily.  I still wish I’d made more of an effort to see him. We’re only 1.5 hr apart.
