BLE is used in all kinds of devices now. WiFi access points use BLE to track people/devices within an organization. Retail merchants use BLE to beacon radios of nearby possible customers to collect metrics on them from their devices. Ever been using a Navigation app on your phone/car and had an ad pop up from a retailer at one of the intersections you’re stopped at? It’s almost certain they’re using BLE to beacon potential customers. In larger cities they’ll use it to target you if you’re walking by their storefront on the sidewalk. I could go on and on. Since I’m a knuckle dragging moron and a lot of you are really smart people, how do I set up a “dummy” unit for my Meater so I can leave the house and know where my cook is at by looking at my phone?
