Thanks for the starter recipe! I ate my last bacon-wrapped thigh today, will be making flank-steak tacos tomorrow, and this sauce sounds like a nice marinade! (also have an orange, lemon, and pureèd chipotle for another marinade, something I'm playing with (a flank steak does 4 meals for me))The Cen-Tex Smoker said:These guys hunted me down on social
media for like 6 months and it finally worked. In a moment of covid boredom I said “eff it, I’ll try it”. Verdict? It’s pretty good but just like most other Commercial sauces out there, It’s nothing I couldn’t make at home pretty easily. I do like trying things like this to keep up on what’s good out there and I’m glad I tried this one. Wouldn’t buy it again (would just make it). It’s basically soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger,
mirin, rice wine vinegar."Hallelujah, Noel, be it Heaven or Hell,

You will notice the absence of any other military service associated comments. Of course one might try the approach of "we (fill in the service) would never have been there. True, as you would not have had the ability to find the location.

And why would we be down on the surface, where the Targets are?

We were 1.5 hours north of Green Bay this weekend when a deer decided to play chicken with my wife's crossover. My wife said, "Watch out for that deer ahead". Sure enough the deer starts hightailing it towards my wife's vehicle. I put the brakes on heavy but I didn't want to lock them up incase I needed to swerve and to prevent the vehicle from rolling. I also knew we had an F-150 right behind us. The next thing I know this deer is in the middle of her grill and the deer and I have locked eyes. Both of us knowing this isn't going to be good. I prepare myself in that split second for the airbags to go off. I can feel the weight of the deer being pushed and in slow motion I see the deer doing a 720 in circles across the lane and sliding down into the ditch after connecting. No deployed airbags and no major impact when hitting the deer other than feeling the weight of it being pushed. I quickly look over at my wife and she has big cartoon eyes that begin to water. I said, "What???" She says, "Oh my gosh, that poor deer!" I say, "The deer? Who cares about the deer. Let's hope your car isn't all smashed up!!!". We were only 5 miles from my brother in laws family cabin. So we just kept on going and would evaluate the front end damage once at the cabin. Once we get to the cabin we dreadfully walk out to see what the deer did to the front end. To our complete surprise it was spotless. It was like nothing ever happened. I still can't figure it out. I don't know if the deer was running at a certain angle with us going around a corner where it just pushed it at the same speed where there wasn't any impact. It couldn't have gone any better for the both of us. The deer is going to be feeling it for a few days and my wife's vehicle is spotless. What a crazy 3-4 seconds though. It can have been so much worse. I have to thank the big guy for getting us out of that situation unscathed...
I did bring the Karubecue along. So we did some stuffed pork chops, ribs, and beans this weekend.

We had an awesome time with family. Lots of fun. I think we all felt how the dog felt on the trip back home.

Food looks phenomenal, @WeberWho! I lived in Wisconsin for three years and amazingly never hit a deer, which are like mosquitoes in that state. Glad to hear you came out unscathed. Funny the reactions though. Like you, when I hit a deer in Minnesota a few years back my wife was concerned about the deer that literally ran into us and I was irritated about the broken sideview mirror and minor damage.Stillwater, MN

Do you put slicks on for that or do you let the traction control handle it.How does she hook up?ColtsFan said:
Yes. Bracket racing is where you predict your time and you can’t run under that. In a heads up race like this, it's basically a street race. Fastest car wins as long as you don't leave the start line early.Eoin said:

We made it to the finals and got beat by a mid 90’s vette who was throwing all kinds of nitrous to it on a big engine.
The ZL1 has had supercharger, intercooler, head work done and dyno’s at 780 HP. So that vette was legit

No slicks for the heads up class. Has to be hard tire. We'll have slicks on it for the 1/4 mile at Lucas Oil Raceway this weekend. Traction control does okay. You can't launch the car. You have to leave around 1500 RPM and then gradually get it to the floor. If it down shifts you're screwed it just blows the asz end off.frazzdaddy said:

It's fun, but no drag car. You just don't get the weight transfer needed. Now turning it loose on a big oval and hitting 190+ MPH is another story~ John - Formerly known as ColtsFan - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

780? Holy moly. Transmission ok with that? Very impressive and noisey I imagine? Tavarish would be proud, certainly not a Hooptie. 😁Eoin said:

You have the creative wit of a perfectly square and highly dense cube of concrete. I'd actually be more entertained gazing at pictures of concrete blocks if it wasn't for the asymmetric nature of it all.

Cool. Cases are low here, the UK vaccine is going for test in the US as well, plus Brazil and South Africa. Do you know which one you are applying for, I think there are 1 or 2 US vaccines at the same stage?lousubcap said:Just finished signing up to be a Covid-19 vaccine guinea pig.

Hopefully I get a shot (pun intended). It is a wide open sign up to support the testing once they are ready for large scale trials. Could be months down the road. I believe the UK vaccine is the Oxford developed one that first showed promise several months ago.Eoin said:
