Just had lunch, met with a good friend to explore some new job opportunities.  Seriously debating a major job/life change.
My BIL is a corporate pilot. He and I just had this same conversation about himself yesterday at 40. Upside is no wife or kids. Just himself and spending habits to worry about. Trust your gut, you’re gonna come out on top
I like change and I like l.  My job provides neither opportunity.

Luckily, my wife's business is doing very well, so I have a chance to try a change.  Would be a whole new industry, finance instead of engineering.  Funny thing is my entire circle of friends are in finance, real estate, or construction. None of my personal friends are in engineering.  I am the odd duck.
The engineering is the only bit of the business I'm actually interested in.
I do not get to do any engineering anymore.  I manage a team.  My job is pretty much HR, bids, and quotes.

Maybe your purpose in life is only to serve as an example for others? - LPL

Lads, lads, lads - where does the time go?    I fell victim to lack of squad depth this week as a round of matches could not be forecast because of that irksome irritation called work.  Statistically, therefore, it was strong week for me with no inaccurate predictions.  Huzzah.

Penultimate round of games coming up,  just to recap; Norwich are down, Villa and Bournemouth sat atop the trap door and Watford flirting with it - oh please make that happen.    Elsewhere, ‘Dirty’ Leeds (Google it) will grace the top flight again for the first time on 16 years, next season.

Today :  Norwich v Burnley, away win 0-2.

Stoke v Brentford - tough match for @Eoin men, but not calamitous if they lose,, now being safe from the drop.  Paradoxically the pressure is on the visitors to win and move in to the automatic promotion spot.  Perhaps stress-free Potters will turn in to Brazil?  For that reason I am going 0-1, for football fan-lore reasons.

Sunday : Bournemouth v Southampton, local rivals (but no crowd) and very different recent form.  1-2 and that’s it for the Cherries.

Spurs v Leicester, the season’s over for Spurs but the Foxes still need to nail down ‘Europe’.  Testy and feisty, 2-2.

Monday : Brighton v Newcastle, zero relevance, 1-0 home win.

Sheff Utd v Everton, as above.

Wolves v Palace, Europe looks out of reach to Wolves since Man U started playing properly. Palace have been not quite as good as awful.  2-0, make the season end soon, please.

Tuesday : Watford v Man City, perfect!  Just when the filthy Hornets need points they confront super-slick City.  An early goal against the run of play gives Elton’s men hope, but then they are crushed.  1-3

Villa v Arsenal, the home team just don’t have enough to get all three points here. A battling draw would be credible and keep Watford in reach.  1-1.

Wednesday : Man Utd v West Ham, the visitors now safe means routine home win. 2-0.

Liverpool v Chelsea, a defat to arsenal will have been hard for the Reds to accept - even if they are in ‘decompress’ mode.   Super-Frank’s men need points for Europe, so except a decent game, but a home win 2-1.

Mercifully only one round of games left,  then who knows what.   Stay groovy and keep on Egging.

Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay

I don't actually manage a team, I only employ people who can manage themselves. The stuff I have to do that I don't like is the financials, no way of avoiding that.

Heading to the track. Gonna put it on them in a ”Race What you Bring” heads up single elimination bracket. Has to be street legal, no slicks, no 4-link or ladder bars.

Bracket is where you have to be closest to your target time?

Baking pumpkin cookie with Craisens and almonds for a family get together tomorrow. Used these to get the pumpkin. Should harvest about 30 more tomorrow.
