Got the MMX on early today and did some pork for lunch. This had a nice fat layer, finished the crackling on a tray in the oven as usual and it was perfect.

Following @JohnInCarolina showing me what Kubb is, I got the chain saw out after lunch and made a set. The skulls are some old poles that were lying around waiting to be cut for logs anyway. The bones are trimmings from hawthorn trees that I'm clearing because they have sprouted everywhere. It's heavy wood, good for throwing.  I managed to drag the boys outside for an hour - it's a good game.

Both. Most tracks around here are 1/8 mile. We'll be at Lucas Oil Raceway for a street car shootout next weekend which is 1/4 mile.
The car runs 6.60’s in the 1/8 and 10.50’s in the 1/4. Not bad for a street car that's also a weekend cruiser. 😀

Just finished putting a fire pit together.

My wife has been on a friggin shopping spree lately. Seems like every other day a new piece of furniture or “wall art” arrives. Not only do I get the pleasure of putting this stuff together but I also have to deal with all the boxes. Half our driveway is full of cardboard and wood until the trash company comes out for a big load in a couple of weeks. 

Today it was the propane fire pit. Last week I put together a shoe rack, an outdoor dining table, some sort of ice bucket table thing for the backyard, hung a coat rack thingamajigger, and unboxed a sideboard.

These guys hunted me down on social
media for like 6 months and it finally worked. In a moment of covid boredom I said “eff it, I’ll try it”. Verdict? It’s pretty good but just like most other Commercial sauces out there, It’s nothing I couldn’t make at home pretty easily. I do like trying things like this to keep up on what’s good out there and I’m glad I tried this one. Wouldn’t buy it again (would just make it). 

It’s basically soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger,
mirin, rice wine vinegar. 

It was tasty though:

wagyu skirt salt only and basted with Bachan’s over ripping hot, dome open egg.

I always find myself asking why I don’t make this more often. Roasted turkey breast with Dizzy Pig Bayou-ish at 375. Skin was crispy and slight spicy. Turned out really good

@pgprescott - nailed that cook.  Congrats.  The endorsement for "the money shot" tells the end-game story.  Absent that shot then you know things did not turn out as anticipated, allowing for the infrequent "too hungry to grab a pic" comment.

It's not putting all of that to the track in most cases. The computer/traction control starts cutting fuel to cylinders when it starts spinning. The trans can handle it. It's getting a torque converter upgrade soon.

I never knew The Undertaker was Navy.  I may start to show that service a small level of respect after seeing that video.
