Fighting boundary issues at our lake house. Fence has been on the property since 1972. New owner next door found a survey indicating we’re on 22’ of his land. Two words: Tacking possession.

Worst part is, if we’re on 20’+ of his, he’s doing the same thing to his neighbor on the other side and on and on and on. His legal description is for 100’, his measurement fence to fence as it currently sits is 105’. 🤦‍♂️

Two words: adverse possession. If you have been occupying the property for ten years without written objections from the neighbor it’s yours.
Back in the 90’s I was helping a coworker line up his new fence. We set up a transit and turned the bearing from the front property corner listed in his deed. It clipped his back house corner on one side of the property and clipped his neighbors house on the other. Every property description on the street was like that but every house had their fences set up at 90 degrees from the street. The whole street was wrong. We let sleeping dogs lie and did the same thing with his fence.

We once put in a kidney shaped concrete pad out back along our property line.  After we had it all done, stamped, colored, etc., the neighbor came out with a chalk line and noticed we were just a touch over into their yard (which was a flower bed.  It was less than an inch at max and went for a couple feet.  My geometry skills aren't great but it was less than 9 sq in.  They insisted we cut off the area in their flower bed.

I don’t think adverse possession applies to minor encroachment of boundary lines unless the owner knows about it. May need to confirm with an attorney in your state.

It is definitely part of the surveying law exam in my state.

We have had wireless line of sight internet capped at 5mbps $79.95 mo. for 7 years.
ATT now offers something similar, they are supposed to install today between 8am and noon. Up to 25mbps for a mere $59.95 mo

Nice!  Only "broadband" internet I can get is line of site and for 15Mbps I pay $100/month.  Lately I can only manage about 7Mbps.

We had line of sight, it used to do 25 Mb at best but was on a tall pole, so subject to high winds and also some obstacles, so it dropped out a lot. Now we've got an unlimited 4G data plan, runs anything up to 50 Mb for £34 per month ($45 ish). Hoping 5G will be along some time, though maybe not for a while given the Huawei situation, but that is supposed to be a gigabit service.

@Eoin swmbo (now working from home) tethers to her phone when our internet acts up. Our plan is unlimited* however they meter it back once we have used a certain amount of data.  We stream quite a bit because we don't have satellite or cable. Worth looking into though thanks.

So far ATT has not shown up.  I will let you know if it works out @Ozzie_Isaac the cell towing they are going to aim for is 4 miles away.

If you already have an "Unlimited Data" plan for your phone, this item was suggested to me, $135; just get another SIM card from your phone provider and plug it into this thing.
It may require an external antenna, and I haven't done this yet myself (it's still sitting in my Amazoid basket), but if you understand this stuff it might be an option.

EDIT:  I just saw your latest post; they're throttling you back on an "Unlimited" plan?

That was us until recently, tethering to my work phone which has a 30 GB contract when the internet dipped out. There's no business contract with unlimited data here, only personal.

No! They were not a Navy couple, and no comment on the said flower bed question....

Just kinda eyed it. 1lb organic ground turkey, tbs bacon fat, tbs butter, probably like 2 tbs heavy cream, broccoli chopped, cheddar cubed small, an egg, and a handfull or 2 of bread crumbs. Oakridge SPOGOS as rub. Cooked 300 grate temp with peach for smoke. They are really good but make sure you get organic ground turkey.

I got a request for "salsa for wimps" a few days ago. Same as regular salsa but without the heat.   My sweet peppers are starting to come in so I made a small batch tonight after the sun went down.
