One is a Communist authoritarian dictatorship and the other is not
When did the US become Communist??
If you think you are currently living under an authoritarian dictatorship, you need some perspective

Wasn't it just yesterday that the MAGA'ts were out protesting the tyranny of government and the taking away of their freedom???

wonder what would have happened if trump shut down the borders with mexico, canada, europe, china and all the others and asked the house for a couple trillion dollars to prepare for all this back in november/december =) would the people take all that seriously and stay at home distancing, would pelosi say "yes mr president", would the courts not take issue with it.......would the media have praised him =) if we are trying to play what could or would have happened then play it from there, please tell me this story
Not sure how that would have played out, (maybe plenty of ppe's for the medical community at the very least). We do know however what didn't happen.
From what I remember he did want to shut down the border with Mexico in October and earlier. He did shut down flights from China in January. He did shut down flights from the UK and Europe in Early March. He tried earlier but the news and the House called him racist and xenophobic and otherwise ignored him as they had another priority. Nancy Pelosi said that there was no reason to close down the Moon Festival or St. Paddies Day in New York. The mayor of New Orleans saw no reason to shut down St. Paddies or Mardi Gras .

Sure but those are from the Governors.  They're the real dictators in all of this.  Trump is nothing but pure, unadulterated FREEDUMB.

This ad will be running on "Fox and Friends" (The Donalds favorite tv show) soon and was created by a Republican group pushing back against the tyrant in the Oval Office.

Why does it not surprise me that not once do they mention in this article that Smithfield is owned by the WH Group?

I’ve got words... I wonder why the article never mentions that Smithfield is a Chinese owned company although they felt the need to tell the readers that the plant was in a Republican controlled State.

I was ignoring the politics and referring to the blatant disregard for the health of their production crew, all while claiming to care deeply for their well being.

When the news of the Smithfield acquisition by China first broke, some of the reporting indicated that one of the reasons the Chinese were so interested in the acquisition of the company was because the regulations in certain states where Smithfield had plants were quite a bit more lax than back in China.

One more thing on China. China has never to my knowledge been even remotely equitable in our diplomatic dealings. They have certainly committed some nefarious acts of espionage through hacking our citizens and businesses, so how on earth could it surprise anyone much less the present administration that they would lie to us?

The only people I've found that seem to deny it are those who'd rather the blame fall directly on our administration.

My point is how can you blame a country that clearly does not have our best interests at heart for our cumbersome response?

Speaking of that, where’s OSHA been during this crisis? They raise hell about a nicked electrical cord on a jobsite during normal times yet they are completely absent when workers could use them the most.
