they are building an Ace here in Madison, Al, hoping they will have it as the closest place to me is about an hr drive one way.  I got my first bag last week and I am hooked so without them selling it, I will be ordering it online soon.

Sounds like you talk to someone that didn't know how or didn't want to do it.  There are dozens of stores across KY that stock it and order special order it for customers.  Sorry for your experience.  You can order from our website.  Soon you'll be able to order on acehardware.com and select that store as delivery point......then show that employee that couldn't get it done for you.

@stlcharcoal stopped at a different ace dealer on the way home from work and he ordered for me no problem. $24.99 and no shipping. Says i can pick it up this Friday.

yeah its on hughes road down near the Y, I mean they just started but its only 10 min for me so I cant wait. 

I will be out of town visiting family on Friday, so can't go to Ace. Here's to hoping that @stlcharcoal has a Black Friday sale of its own.

The settling of the lump in the bag reminds me of the notice on potato chip bags explaining why the bag is 1/3 full “package sold by weight not volume. Some settling of contents may occur.”

Too bad there’s no way to settle the lump so that it stays tight in the box.

Vacuum sealed bags. The bag will be like one solid chunk.

I'm telling you, one of these days a lump maker is going to use my genius idea.

Mark my words, someone will start doing center cut lump and package it in a box instead of a bag.
