    @all y'all
    I have learned something from everyone.
    Thank you for helping me learn how to cook on both my eggs. Any help I have given to anyone, is from this forum, and you as the source.
    My list would be long, and I am afraid it would be erroneous incomplete. I am truly grateful you have helped me so much.
    Ron, I couldn't agree more. OP makes a very noble gesture....I think it impacts some of us forum members in an uncomfortable way. There are folks that have been extremely helpful to me far above posting about food and preparations methods. To those, I would say thanks directly in my on way. I also think we help each other because we share a common passion. Sharing knowledge is why we are here.

    @gmac I mean no harm for what you are doing. Just not the type of competition / selection process I will participate in. I do look forward to seeing your final and will offer my congratulations to whoever is selected. From what I have seen posted....I agree that there are many deserving.

    As others have said, many helpful folks here, but to me the two that stand out are @SGH and @nolaegghead.

    They kinda remind me of Click and Clack.

    @pgprescott and @JohnInCarolina for their inciteful political observations.
    Heh. I see what you did there!
    I'm not even sure that they aren't the same person. Or maybe a split personality and aren't even aware of each other. Either way I think giving either one a sharp object could end badly.

    Has anyone else noticed that all new threads looking for advice or help today are getting 3x the responses with 3x the info and they're all polite and helpful?

    Certainly no harm taken. In hindsight maybe I should have just asked if anyone wanted it and done a draw that way. Thing is, I've now made about a dozen knives in the last couple months and don't need them all. Not in the business to sell nor are they likely good enough so I thought maybe someone deserving should get something nice. I appreciate your point of view and that you choose not to participate rather than criticize my thoughts.
    Take care.

    I hadn't noticed.  I was too busy heaping praise or answering questions  =). Way too many great helpers here.  Including you.

    That is because I have been at work.  I will find those threads and post some snark ;)

  • @bgebrent for some mad bacon advice and all the seafood posts

    @Photo Egg because he hooked me up with an amazing spatula for no reason other than the goodness of his heart. (Seriously, it's so nice I haven't even used it yet. It just sits on my work bench and looks amazing waiting on a worthy meal.)

    And @travisstrick ...for boiled brisket. It's the best. Seriously. Go try it.

    Glued up the handle today.  Will post a progress picture. Tomorrow. Did an acid wash patina on the blade too. I really wish someone had nominated me so I could keep it
