Can’t deny his abilities on the field. He was sluggish to start. Final stat line 29 touches, 141 yards, 2 TD’s. 1/1 passing 42 yards, TD

My heart goes out to those in New Orleans. Hope NOLA is doing ok.

It appears that someone intentionally set off a VBIED in front of Trump Tower here this morning. Welcome to 2025.
Just saw that CyberTruck explosion.  Could’ve been a lot worse. Looks like it mostly just destroyed the truck.

pancake and scrambled egg cooked in bacon fat, there goes my new year resolution, haha!
Happy 2025 to my Egghead family.
That is **** awesome! One question, where is he going to store that and how much does it weigh, two questions.

@alaskanassasin Great minds think alike! I asked him the same questions, the stock 27" (made for 30" range) weighs 30 lbs (see link below). so this custom made 100% coverage beast for his six-burner Wolf probably weighs 35-40 lbs. He plans to just slide it to one side and use two burners, remove only when more than two burners are needed. I didn't ask but he probably paid a good chunk of loonies with USD exchange/shipping plus notorious UPS brokerage fees.

They also have stock 18", 22" and 26" round ones for Weber kettle, wondered about getting a custom 24" for the XL but I already have a Blackstone that's rarely used.

jsut finished cook number two for 2025. Was not planning on it after the waffles for lunch, but my daughter is away overnight and she *hates* mushrooms so we did portobello mushroom cap burgers and fries for supper.

That is two suppers and a lunch over yesterday and today. I need to step back and shower off some smoke :)

I imagine working 12's over NYE, in Vegas, is a challenge and a half!   :|

    I’m back back back!

It’s Jan 2025 and the only news in town is the Winter Transfer Window. Can’t think of anything else anywhere of greater importance right now.

How did you enjoy the self-service approach over Christmas?  Living the life of Croesus now?

In PL news, Liverpool remain at the summit and look strong while Southampton have hit the relegation hyper-drive.  Proving the cycle of life, Man Utd remain in free-fall and perhaps earlier in that cycle are Man City who remain out of sorts.  Forest are a stubborn uninvited guest in the top 4.

    Saturday

Spurs v Newcastle, the Toon have hit fine form and will not fear a trip to North London, except the three ring circus that is Spurs may well be in dire condition but are Spurs and therefore normal rules don’t apply.  2-3

Bournemouth v Everton, the Cherries continue with solid performances which could tip them from mid table to out Euro zone come May.  The Toffees are now stable off the pitch and will gradually levitate to mid-table obscurity. 1-0

Aston Villa v Leicester, the Foxes are beginning to show their relegation credentials with a  fragile defence and ageing front line. Villa have not been consistent but are the batter team by some margin. 2-0

Palace v Chelsea, two defeats after a draw has been a barren Yuletide for the Blues while the mighty Eagles have gradually solidified since November.  Both teams would take the draw, but equally harbour ambitions for a cheeky win.  2-2

Man City v West Ham, both teams experiencing abject season compared to recent times.  Could all be academic if City are found guilty of rule breaches in March, and get docked 300 points. The Hammers are all over the shop.  Home win feels most likely 1-0

Southampton v Brentford, the only comfort for Saints this week is that the Bees are very poor on their travels. Even so, they are heading at great speed up that creek we all know of and are shorn of paddling equipment. 0-1

Brighton v Arsenal, the wretched filthy fetid Seagulls have flat-lined and are struggling to score, the Gunners are in rich form and need the win to keep tabs on Liverpool at the top.  Could be ugly by necessity, but an away win nonetheless  0-2

    Sunday

Fulham v Ipswich, unexpected defat iff Chelsea last time out has reignited the spark for the Tractor Boys. Notable as that was, this is different gravy and the harsh reality of the difference between bottom and mid table will shine through.  2-0 and unremarkable.

Liverpool v Man Utd, just has to be a big win for the Reds.  Amorim has tried to implement a new system at Utd, and life’s too short to explain why some of the worlds best players can’t adjust to standing slightly more to the left of right - but that’s football.   3-0

    Monday

Wolves v Forest, a return for Nuno to his old haunt and at an ideal time with Forest defying all logic in 3rd place.  Wolves are two wins and a draw from the last three and so enter this game in finer spirit than a month ago.  Form says away win, but I am not convinced. 1-1

There you go,  strap in and enjoy the ride.

Other girls may try to take me away

Thank you for that fine sir and a merry New Year to you.  I made a few predictions in my head about the Boxing Day matches and got them woefully wrong so my respect for you has grown as it is not easy to write this up and put it out for public consumption.
