That’s awesome. I’m currently on day three of the worst head cold I can remember having. That tissue box holder would come in pretty handy right now.

@dbCooper - I'm hoping for the same on Sunday.  Had to audible a week.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

@lousubcap - Same here, Sunday is earmarked for cooking these.  There is a wildcard in the mix though with a deviant (devious?) sibling that could cause a postponement to Monday.

It sure feels like the thumb is on the scale for the Chiefs. That 4th down call review was inexcusable.

Totally agree.  How about the catch/int/catch that was reviewed in the first half?  That should have been a dead ball.  The NFL isn't doing itself any favors trying to quiet the murmurs of the Chiefs getting all the calls.

The NFL wants the Chiefs to win for the Taylor Swift effect. They want new viewers (streaming viewers to be specific) in order to grow the value of the franchises and Swifties fit their wanted demographic perfectly. That demographic meaning young, loyal and willing to spend big bucks to see their star.

Why isn’t she singing the national anthem at all the home games? Seems like they could leverage that stardom

Checked my calendar and seems I'm free in early May.  Put my name in the hat for a volunteer opportunity on the Faroe Islands.  The odds are steep to be chosen so not holding my breath.  Mrs. Cooper is curiously enthused about me signing up and my subsequent absence if I win.  Article about the program is here . . .

It was a long shot and I came up short.  Received the Dear John letter earlier today.  Devastating!
    Dear volunteer,
We are immensely thankful for the overwhelming response from individuals eager to volunteer and help preserve the distinct Faroese environment.
Witnessing the heartfelt enthusiasm of countless dedicated individuals has been truly inspiring.

I’ve got plenty of stuff around the house to do if you are still looking for a volunteer opportunity…

Thanks for closing the loop. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully, you’ll keep trying for any future such opportunities. 15.5K applications is pretty sizeable relative to the 80 positions!

@DoubleEgger - Where abouts you located?  I'm looking for a cultural experience in exchange for my free labors.  Do you happen to speak Faroese and know how to make Skerpikjøt (wind dried mutton)?  =)

Tipping is out of hand. I stopped by a Poke place to get my wife some takeout for lunch. You have to order via a stupid electronic kiosk. I fumbled through entering all of the info and finally got to the checkout screen. It asks for a tip which I declined. I generally tip at fast casual places but won’t do it if a kiosk is involved. That’s my line in the sand.  I tapped no tip and the kiosk refused to proceed with the order. I mentioned something to the staff and was told a tip was required for them to make my food.

I said something along the lines of having coitus by yourself and walked out.

    1) You're not wrong. At my chain haircut place the minimum tip that isn't a "custom" tip where you have to enter the actual amount is 25%.  I take the time to enter a custom tip in the 15-20% range.  I'm not cheap and I'm appreciative of the service but I don't like being pressured to tip.

    2) I'd love to have a transcript of the "Honey, I didn't get you any Poke because I decided that tipping for ordering my own fast food was a hill I wanted to die on" conversation.  (My point being that I'd be much more likely to take a stance when I'm getting food for myself - especially as opposed to getting food for SWMBO)

My barber does the same, and I customize to 20%; won't be tipping $5 for a military buzzcut that took them all of 7 minutes to do.
