It was 70 on Tuesday and I was mowing grass.

Yep. I just cleaned and installed the carb on my sister-in-laws snowblower.

I sent her husband a link to a new carburetor for $25 on Amazon. He wasn't interested and didn't think he'd have the time or understanding how to do it. (Pretty much plug and play with a new carb.) So I went and picked it up as he would rather buy a used snowblower that doesn't need work. They also didn't want their Blackstone I sold them a few years ago anymore. So I picked that up as well. I just sent a message to my sister-in-law letting them know their snowblower is done and they can have it back if they haven't purchased another one yet. (I saved the $25 and dunked the carb in a gallon of carb cleaner and blew everything out.) I still need to clean up the rusty Blackstone griddle top and clean the Blackstone before that goes home with my sister when they are visiting during Thanksgiving. I'm still trying to figure out where I win in all of this?
So is your sister-in-laws husband your brother, or is she your wife’s sister?

If it is your brother, I would tell him to get off his duff and figure stuff out, you’re not babying him anymore.

If it is your wife’s sister, then the win comes from your wife being appreciative of you taking care of her sister and being a genuinely good person.

Night before demo, let’s do two new recipes, lol.  My day has been going so good so far 😂

Pork Burnt Ends and A Texas Cracker or whatever it’s called.  On trial number 4 and getting it dialed now.

Have pulled pork and bacon wrapped goat cheese stuffed dates as a stand by incase the burnt ends fail.

Not "technically" my brother-in-law or even my sister-in-laws "husband" if we are getting specific. (They've been together 14 years and have 4 kids together. It's just easier to say husband or brother-in-law in most scenarios) Kids and work do keep him busy. I told him it would probably take 30 minutes to replace the carb with a new one and it even came with new gas lines and a primer. He wasn't interested and thought it might be too much to figure out. I give him credit for knowing his limitations and he never had any intention of trying to get me to do it as I never suggested that I would when sending my sister-in-law information and links for the replacement carb.

A few days later I told them I'd take the snowblower, fix it, sell it, and give them whatever I made from the snowblower for the Blackstone that I'm going to give to my sisters family when they are in town. My sister-in-law said, "No" and they just wanted the items removed from their garage. At this point I don't think they bought a replacement snowblower yet so I'm hoping I can just drop it back off and not have to worry about trying to sell it. One less step for me.

Really pleased with how these pork burnt ends turned out.  Now to figure how to cool and reheat tomorrow because they cooked about 10x faster than I expected.

Beautiful belly burnt ends right there. Given the liquid in the pan just load into the fridge (totally sealed) and then slowly reheat in the foil til at temperature and enjoy.  A true banquet awaits.  Great results right there.

    Stupid simple.
Club cracker, cream cheese (sprinkle favorite rub on cream cheese.  I’m using Meat Church Texas Sugar), bacon on top (bacon a bit longer than cracker and fold underneath edges),  liberally apply more rub (prefer one with some sugar content but not a lot of salt), add slice of jalapeño on top (sliced thick enough it doesn’t burn away, but thin enough is gets soft).
Smoke indirect at 325 for about 17 minutes.
Add some honey after you remove it from the smoker, let it cool a little and serve.
I can prep these at the event.  Thought about doing them before but was worried cracker would get soft overnight.

@Ozzie_Isaac way to step up and deliver.  Great day across the spectrum.  Congratulations.  That sauce looks worth a go-deets.  Always to support small and local businesses especially when well under the Gubmunt limit.
(Small in the gubmint definition is "Small businesses are typically defined by metrics such as their number of employees and their annual revenues. For simplicity's sake, the SBA's Office of Advocacy generally defines one as “an independent business having fewer than 500 employees.”"

    Only photo before the chaos.

Texas Crackers were a hit.  Couldn’t make them fast enough!

Pork Burnt Ends and Goat Cheese Dates were also a crowd pleaser.  Burned through everything right at the bell.  Also made a pulled pork  sliders for all the workers.  They were very appreciative.

This store has been struggling to sell rubs, as in nobody is buying them.  Today they sold out of their Meat Church Rubs I was using, and this killer Chamoy Honey too.  They also sold way more grills than they usually do.  So from the owners perspective it was a success.

We know that now.  I don't know that anybody realized that before he got injured.  And even though he's not young, having a health De Bruyne would go a long way.
