    Then add Shiner beer to form a sauce. Make it a thickness the spirits of your ancestors would approve of.
    That sounds like the sort of challenge @caliking understands and appreciates.

    Yep.  And @20stone would need to know how many grams of beer to use.

    Baked beans. My son calls them “honey pot beans”.

    Smoked spare ribs.

    Potato salad - made with Shiner beer.

    I found an old cookbook for “cooking with beer” made by the Spoetzl Brewery. I bought it just because - you know - cooking with beer.

    Is that the brewery where shiner bock is made?

    @kl8ton Yes it is.

    Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...

    Truth. You have witnessed the ancestors vs. grams dilemma IRL.

    Big tip of the hat to you, @GrateEggspectations. Took a crack at the Pink Lady cake for caliqueen today ( scaled it down, and tweaked it a bit). It was fabulous! One of the best cakes I’ve baked (which isn’t really saying much, as I haven’t baked many cakes... but you get the idea).

    Looks like a resounding success. Bravo. Glad you enjoyed it. I’d try it myself, but I’m sure mine wouldn’t live up to my s-i-l’s!

    Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) on the Small

     Nicely done.

    I have a funny pad kee mao story, but it's much funnier when told in person, and drunk as I was when it actually went down.

    @nolaegghead - I don’t personally. We lived in Henderson for 11yrs and most of that time was either working or in my backyard cooking. Didn’t get out much unless it was work.

    Curious as to why brisket camp needs a lawyer. 🤔 One can only assume it is derived  from some lessons learned stemming from the Butt Blast petting zoo.

    New Orleans, in general, and especially in context of Brisket Camp, induces a tendency in people to express an exuberant lack of inhibition.  My good friend and neighbor is available to help with any negative legal entanglements that could theoretically ensue.

    So you’re telling us you need a personal lawyer to help clean up after your shenanigans? 😉
