In the spirit of trying to loose weight and track performance gains ..and I needed a new watch anyway
I’ll be upgrading my dive computer as well to a Garmin after I get my bonus check.. the garmin dive watch is supposed to do a lot of same features as this.. but I’m always rough on my stuff and I figure the less wear and tear on a key portion of life support the better -
I’ve been daily wearing a fenix for almost 4 years now. Apple Watch didn’t last 6 months with me. Mountain biking, hiking, drinking shenanigans other than a couple of cheap replacement bands it’s still good as new and they have a great batter life.DuckDogDr said:In the spirit of trying to loose weight and track performance gains ..and I needed a new watch anyway

@JohnfromKentucky Buffalo bore is legit, I’ve used their ammo but I haven’t ordered online from them. Don’t buy ammo online that seems too cheap or asks you to pay with PayPal. If they don’t accept visa master card etc then run!South of Columbus, Ohio.

@Coltsfan - Oh, I just meant the manual, not the entire course. I'm not surprised by that cost for an online course that's so specialized like that."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Will this be your first SANS course? If so, my money says you will come away thinking your employers money was well spent.I left the infosec biz in 2019 and that was my last interaction with SANS, always in-person instruction. At that time the certification exams were open book. Not a walk in the park by any means and those dependent on their notes typically did not have enough time to finish the exam.I'll be curious to know what you think of the OnDemand course presentation. Enjoy!LBGE, LBGE-PTR, 22" Weber, Coleman 413GGreat Plains, USA

Luckily, the employer covers it.
2. Use an easily remembered passphrase, do not use 1111 or 1234.
3. Never click a link from an unknown source.
Advanced course:
1. Hover over link from known source and see if address makes sense.

It is my first SANS course. My background is in switch/route, but moving to an electric cooperative there is a great emphasis on security, especially within the ICS/SCADA environment. I should be familiar with a lot of the content, but I will pick up some best practices.dbCooper said:Will this be your first SANS course? I seem to remember Stream Lights were built like tanks but expensive and they always seem to be a few years behind on the LED technology. Did they get better?I try to always buy lights that use 18650s because I have a zillion of them and a few multi-chargers. And plenty of energy density in the 18650s.

I’ve been running Streamlights for as long as I can remember bc they are so rugged. Their technology makes whatever energy source last a long time. I have AA, AAA, CR123 and then rechargeable versions. I have them scattered all around the house, vehicles and bags.nolaegghead said:TechsasJim said:Stream light right angle 1000 lumen torch to fit on my go bag.I"ve been a torch collector for years but not much recently. And plenty of energy density in the 18650s.I picked this one up specifically to attach to a molle strap on my SOC go bag. It will sit on my right shoulder strap (also have another CR123 version and spare batteries inside the bag).I did try Eagle Tac and Surefire and had issues with both. Bulb went out on the Eagle Tac and the tail clicker housing on the Surefire broke.I am sure there are probably better lights out there but nowadays I just go with what I know.LBGE, 28” BS, Weber Kettle, HCI 7.8 SE Texas -
