Thanks, here at home I’m playing it through a Yamaha THR30II modeling amp. I bought it for classic blues and rock. I am an acoustic player primarily so I’m not sure where this will take me.GrateEggspectations said:I recall you being an acoustic player. Misen 8" chef knife. Had a coupon, figured it was worth a shot for $65.

For $65 it is definitely worth it. They are pretty decent knife. Mine was one of their early Kickstarter knives and my heat treat isn't right. It is soft and struggles to hold an edge. The handle, overall geometry, and balance is pretty good though. Hard to beat at the price point.FrostyEgg said:Misen 8" chef knife. I love that my comment on your roof, made years ago now, continues to live rent-free inside your head.CPFC1905 said:

I hope you like it as much as I like mine. It is my "go to" when I am grabbing a chef's knife.FrostyEgg said:Misen 8" chef knife. Had a coupon, figured it was worth a shot for $65.

I play both acoustic and electric. Owned many makes and models, but surprisingly, I’ve never owned a tele. Currently get my twang kicks from a Gretsch. PM me if you ever wanna talk gear. Lol.4TheGrillOfIt said:

Robs me of that which not enriches him,
And makes me poor indeed.

Yes! Every great guitar player I have ever played with loves the Telecaster. I have heard a 100 times that I needed to get a Tele.TechsasJim said:

In my former life I was a drummer and when a guitarist showed up with a Tele I was excited from the start. That tone is its own thing (I know, pedals have taken over - but the classic Tele tone is its legend).4TheGrillOfIt said:

Wife gifted me the utility knife for Christmas, however I think it was more for her, because every time she reached for my chef’s knife I would give her a look - like whatcha about to do with that? Haha. I’ve really enjoyed them thus far. -

To bring this down to earth (or below) a medium sized hard-shell suitcase. I no longer have access to my larger hard-shelled cases as the adult children have permanently borrowed them.
The case plus my styrofoam bottle holders are great for adult beverage transport. Will press this acquisition into service late January for its flight trial.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Sous vide boys...is Anova still the go to?
I have the next two months off work - time to dive back into cooking. Fell off the culinary wagon for awhile and finally got the drive back.
Also ordering a KBQ once it warms up a bit, but that'll be a different thread. -
I'm not a sous vide boy but just read a shootout in CI : the Breville Joule was top pick at $200, the Yedi HouseWare "Infinity" was Best Buy at $100.FrostyEgg said:Sous vide boys...is Anova still the go to?
Among the six they tested they did do the Anova, but the remaining four weren't rated/ranked.“I'll have what she's having."

@FrostyEgg
I'm not sure how often you get over to Green Bay area but I saw a KBQ come up for sale. I want to say it was under $700 for it.
