Amidst all this madness, I'm bummed, as many are, that BAM Blast is one of the casualties of this time. In no small part because this event was to commemorate a friend and fellow egghead. Not that one needs a bbq event to celebrate a friend, but it has some meaning.
Any thoughts re: having a "remote" event anyway? I'll leave it to the more tech savvy among us to figure out how to do this on Google Meet, Zoom, etc. We could egg/cook on 4/18, just at home instead of at Dan Nicholas Park, connect, and share some laughs, beverages, and such. Getting the petting zoo details worked out could be a challenge, but I'm sure the UK fans will rise to the occasion.

I was hoping that, at a minimum, everyone that purchased a shirt could wear it that day. we could post up some cooks in a dedicated thread. Basically dedicate the day to egging and day drankin’. To keep it in line with the real
thing, all alcohol has to be concealed in a cup or a hugger/coozie.

I think this is a great idea. I'm happy to host a Zoom meeting. I have an unlimited account and would be happy to set this up. People can join with video via either their phone or a web browser."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

If it keeps shrinking, I probably won't fit in my shirt by the 18th

I don't think there is anything wrong with zoom - their default security settings (no passwords on meetings) was very lax and that has been addressed.

I vote for pants optional. I just don't need to see manipples. That's all I ask.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

Just spit balling as I am totally tech illiterate, whether this is done on some virtual meeting, or just VIA forum thread dedicated to BAM Blast , it would be cool if someone could take all images etc and condense them into a Montage or something of the likes ...my 2 centsVisalia, Ca @lkapigian
