13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Thank you.
I'm not sure here, but
you seem to answer a general question of 'why do you believe?'
rather than
the specific question of 'how do you know?'.
Acknowledgement of the difference between the two questions may be our disconnect.
Doesn't make your answer wrong - merely imprecise as relates to question asked.

If you need a chapter and verse in order to know the Lord's position on the matter, then I pity you sir.
First, I didn't ask you to "prove it". I asked for the source of your knowledge.
You, in turn, offered naught but the source of your faith.
Further, sir - any pity of mine toward you would be fact-based rather than founded on faith.

Abortion and infanticide and simply abandoning children were not uncommon practices among the peoples of the time of the Bible.
Let's not forget that it is okay to kill a child if they call a parent a doodyhead so life in the Bible is not always as precious as many try to make it out.

You have erred in interpreting my question as indicative of a contrary position.
In fact, I strongly suspect that "life" does begin at conception. I included the word life in quotes to indicate my lack of certainty on the subject.
Because I am unsure, I choose to oppose abortion
because I'd rather be wrong that way.
That said: We don't have a daughter, but if we did . . . she would already know how we felt on the subject. If she found herself faced with that dilemma - whatever the cause - I would stand bodily before her to prevent you or any other man trying to force her to do something with her body because of what you/he believes.
I would feel the same way about your daughter's rights too.
If the woman is wrong, it's her body - her sin.
She decides, her God judges.
Anyone other than those two can pound sand.

I made no interpretation at all.....just merely asked the same question of the questioner.

no you didn't just click here. Haha. you have the same thought about the issuesSt. Johns County, Florida -
If my taxes over all these years (i.e.. "decreased government funding") are now suddenly being deemed to be "insufficient"...I have a solution:
Publish the yearly salaries, benefit packages, tenure contracts, career earnings (bogus patents, spin-off businesses, 'non-profits', etc.) created using public facilities that no other taxpayer can access on each college website.
Us 'peon' taxpayers will then 'check the math' for each employee of a public university for the past 50 years..just to make certain that we're all on the same page (moving forward) and so as to be assured that our grandchildren working there are indeed getting the same 'deal' today (not to mention tomorrow).
"Scam" is a nice word for the corruption that has been our college campuses for far too long.

Arguing religion is pointless. Believers argue their views with a book that unbelievers don't acknowledge. Unbelievers argument excludes the very book that Christians believe is the word of God. Pointless.
I am one of the middle of road guys I guess. IMHO most Christians miss the message of Jesus. He was a radical. He taught that women and children were just as important as men. He taught that the "others" were just as good, if not better than his own. He taught this world is temporal. Why believers get so caught up in politics is beyond me. He was offered the world (temptation) and passed. He taught that money wasn't a believers goal. "daily bread" he prayed for was a reference to the OT.... Not so little that I have to steal for my family and not so much that I forget who provides. He didn't judge.....
But... almost every time he served or healed someone he ended with "go and sin no more". The liberal mindset that truth, right and wrong is relative goes against his message. The "if it feels good do it" philosophy is not the message. He was apparently against the cultural method of a kind of abortion... Exposure. Liberals are socially aware but seem to want govt to do it while Christian groups seem to pass on the same issues in lieu of religion.
That's just my 2 cents. Love. It's a tall and tough order to do unto others, to consider others more important than yourself, to cross racial and economical barriers, to love everyone.
