  • If you go to the Mexican market don't order the cocha. Turns out it's some kind of lady part, and you may or may not get one, and if you get one it'll still be attached to the female, and will be super expensive, and she'll have a big hombre with a gun on his hip with her to watch how you consume it.

My advice is to order a taco instead.

@GrateEggspectations - reaffirmed that you live in a great neighbourhood (nod).  What a feeder-and bringing the high heater sauces as well.  Now for some more exotic sightings.  B)

Good to see the correct technical terminology applied here. Well done.
Buggered fits in along the continuum just before 'toast',  'cattle trucked',  and 'Kerry Packered'.  the last requires knowledge of either Australian media barons or 1980's cricket.  Each falls a fraction short of how the hare might end up in the coarsing scene from Snatch.
The first spanner has been thrown in the works.  Buddy of mine reports a proper triode valve is not within his father's hoard.  Not exactly a sticky wicket yet, but could happen.

Gameweek #7 already.  I remember when the season was only a distant dream. Time flies don’t it.  What do we know so far, all teams have a  point - which is better than it might have been, the promoted teams are all struggling - usually one starts well,  Spurs are the surprise package so far but have plenty of time for their Spursyness to emerge, Newcastle have won two on the bounce and will soon settle in to the top 4 to match their budget.

    Saturday

Villa v Brighton, very similar teams in as several ways.  Hosts will see this as chance for statement win, which disgusts me because it’s the filthy Seagulls being spoken of, who are merely the puppets of dark forces. I don’t have the energy for conspiracy theories, except this one BTW. 2-2

Bournemouth v Arsenal, tough start for the Cherries while the Gunners are hitting their stride the season - no apparent hangover from missing out last season and on balance a good draw with Spurs last time out. 0-2

Everton v Luton, bottom of the table clash but despite their enthusiasm for being a bit rubbish the Toffees should have enough for a comfortably out of their depth Hatters.  Succour for Sean Dyche. 3-1

Man Utd v Palace, a thoroughly abject defat in this match-up mid-week for the purposes of an irrelevant cup hopefully means nothing, given heavy squad rotation. I think we can contain them most of the time but can’t see a win.  A penalty and late second sees the hosts limp over the line 2-0

Newcastle v Burnley, 3-0 could be more

West Ham v Sheff Utd, smashed to bits last week the Blades are in a proper pickle.  The Hammers will fancy picking a piece of the pickle. 4-0

Wolves v Man City, City are 6 from 6 while Wolves are lucky there are worse teams than them, at the moment. Pick a number for City. 0-3 as a placeholder

Spurs v Liverpool, the one to watch this weekend.  Both undefeated and averaging nearly 3 goals per game. Genuinely tough to call. 2-1 on the basis of home advantage but slender margins.

    Sunday

Notes Forest v Brentford, mid-table mediocrity fare on offer here. The hosts have not suffered second season syndrome yet while their visitors are missing their suspended striker, and off the back of two defeats. Low goal count schedule filler. 1-1

    Monday

Fulham v Chelsea,  unremarkable start XI hosts the poor start XI. Problems sustain at the Chels’ who sit 14th. Oddly both teams would relish a 0-0 and that’s more than likely. 0-0

An array of bilge and sparkle on offer this weekend.  Choose your popcorn accompaniment carefully. Tally ho!

@CPFC1905, I haven't been on this thread in a long time.  But after seeing the villans likely provide you great joy in their thrashing of the filthy seagulls I thought I would take this opportunity to wish you well in your pursuit of the perfect football day - if Palace can pull something off on a proper rainy Saturday in Manchester.

You, my friend - have bright enough sunshine to my day.   I had completely missed that most joyous and epic result.   My standard routine is to go completely dark from just prior to kick off and then ten minutes at least after they have finished,  just in case.    There probably is a technical term for this, beyond narcissism, but it is inevitable that my checking the score affects the score, negatively.

Well then from my perspective I am hoping that you are watching CPFC currently so you can push Man U to a comeback victory.  They've been knocking on the door but a combination of ineffectual finishing and selfishness in front of goal has kept them from breaking through.

Well congratulations on a truly wonderful (for you) footballing day. I suppose that the only thing better would have been beating a truly hateable team at Anfield or the Etihad.

I guess it shouldn't surprise me that it is a weird day in sports when College Gameday is in Durham.

Greetings @bubbajack.  Glad you came out fine on the other side of the tropical storm that rolled thru.
At the Zoom on 9/21 We were talking about picanha and coulotte steaks.  I mentioned the NAMP meat processors guide:
here is a link and likely more that you care to know:

Smearing yogurt into some kind of rubber puzzle mat to make an “enrichment” treat for the pup.  What in God’s name has happened to my life?  Lol
Wait until you buy an expensive chew toy and find out that he likes to chew on pine cones.

The girls have actually been great doing their part.  The reality is that it takes a village to raise a puppy.

Haven't seen that yet but we did buy him one of these "advanced" puzzles they have to figure out to get their food, you know?   There's all kinds of little doors to open and levers to throw.    They are supposed to take the dogs some time to figure out.   Well he got his food out within about two minutes, and managed to chew the crap out of the puzzle.

On the other side of the coin I took him out this morning for some leash training.  He made it around the block, walking by my side with the leash slack and a minimum of treats.  He was pulling so hard on the leash just a few weeks ago, I wasn't sure we'd ever get here.  I know next time he'll likely be nowhere near as well behaved, but this felt like a pretty big win this morning so I'm going to run with it...

Washed, peeled and vac sealed about 20 lbs worth of San Marzanos while all was quiet in the household.

Nice. The last few years we went back to canning instead of vac seal and freeze, due to freezer real estate shortage.
