around here they come in all red faced screaming angry threatening fines....then after a half hour of it they issue you an open burn permit for the summer. its a funny thing, i cant cut or burn the pitch pine trees that were destroyed by a southern pine beetle invasion because the town will not issue permits on an ocean front property. state told me to cut them down and told me the town has no jurisdiction. so i cut them and burn them in place and take the scolding til they hand me the permit. the lake property is another problem, seems the water district is a god......

@fishlessman the fire chief said he needed to burn some on his farm and have a nice night. The grass fire crew came out and said looks good enjoy your evening. The deputy bought 2 pints of honey (I have a stand on this farm) and wants me to sell it at his wife’s candle shop in town.

@alaskanassasin - what's the reason for the burn? Is it helpful for the soil, or did you just have to clear some way quickly?"I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Anybody watch Ralph the Baker? I find his videos entertaining.
I find it comical how he slams butter down on the griddle. "Another stick of butter y'all"

The air temperature has passed 50 degrees and it’s raining every other day, that means the cricket season is back and mid-Summer just ten degrees around the corner. But, hold on lads - there’s still the PL to resolve. Eight games left, Arsenal remain top while Southampton are slipping adrift at the bottom. Eleven teams are safe from relegation, for the other nine spirit and tenacity will determine next season’s division.
Saturday
Villa v Newcastle, the Toon are bang in form and with Man Utd picking up injuries they will be keen to cement third spot. And why not? Villa are also in fine fettle, surging to 6th. Should be good to watch, 1-2.
Chelsea v Brighton, Super Frank has merely sustained the wretched status and condition of Chelsea, underscoring the abomination of a season they are having. The filthy Seagulls were victim of some very peculiar refereeing decisions last week, which was hilarious. 0-2, sadly.
Everton v Fulham, Sean of the Toffees has not quite revolutionised things but this should be fairly routine as Fulham have are performing just like a balloon after the Sidewinder has done its job. 1-0
Southampton v Palace, so three weeks ago the mighty Eagles were scoring at an average of one goal per lunar cycle, but last week 5 in just over 45 minutes. A win this time puts them almost safe while Saints are in the mire, two points adrift at the bottom with just 2 draws from their last 5 games. They need the equivalent of 50% of their current points tally, after 30 games, from the next 8 to be even close to staying up. On form this should be a simple away win, but no true fan works from facts. 1-1.
Spurs v Bournemouth, Despite everything Spurs are still 5th and recent form is OK. The future looks far from certain, but who cars about that? The Cherries have put some space between them and the bottom three and will be very unlucky to be back in the mix after this weekend. Plus a handful of winnable games during the run-in suggests grounds for optimism. All three results on the table. 1-1
Wolves v Brentford, The hosts aren’t safe and their guests have flatlined, tricky to call but home advantage means a tight 2-1
Man City v Leicester, 3-0
Sunday
West Ham v Arsenal, Every game is big for both teams on the run-in. The Hammers are still playing in Europe while fighting PL relegation, how weird is that? The Gunners could and should have beaten Liverpool last week but go suckered in by the emotion. Not this time, 0-2
Notts Forest v Man Utd, injuries are accumulating for Utd at just the wrong time but Forest have returned to their misfit meek self, sitting third of three relegation spots right now. Outlook is not great for them and Utd will look to wrap this up while attracting no more collateral damage. 0-2
Monday
Leeds v Liverpool, game of the weekend, the two are in similar form but 15 points and 8 places apart. Each are the epitome of unpredictable, albeit the hosts are staring down the barrel of relegation. Whatever the result it will be a rollercoaster of a match. 2-2, but that’s and even more vague guess than the others.
I love the smell of hapless guesswork on a Friday morning. Take that 503.

The "right sizing" and squeezing the company for the max return is the game. Then sell, sell sell. The cycle never ends.

Folks of that ilk were known as Leveraged Buyout Organizations (LBO's) a generation or so ago. Those got a bad name for some reason, so they switched to VC's. Vulture Capitalist is the most apt name for them.
