The sunbathing neighbour was (unfortunately for me) a male - and I swear I wasn’t ogling or anything, so that would have been an awkward conversation.
Haha. I was just messing with you. I had a pretty safe assumption that it wasn't a female....

Have you ever seen that scene in Wolf of Wall Street where that dude quits his job on the spot to go work for Leo Decaprio after he sees how much coin he is pulling down? Thinking of doing the same for @Ozzie_Isaac or @MediumRarely

Re-doing forms for a bank.  I am slightly irked.  I filled all these forms out yesterday and was passed off to a handler who informed me that I filled out "old" forms - to which I replied that I received these forms yesterday from their institution.  Did they expire overnight?  (I knew what had happened, just being a SA).  I asked, don't you all pull current forms from some type of central computer system?  Apologies were made, but as usual, the work falls back on me.  Next up, I'll be photoshopping people's signatures back on here because I drove all over town getting them the first time and some of these people are now 1000 miles away.

Heck if I know @kl8ton. It piles up beside my shop and I haul it every now and then.  I walked with $61.
Next up I need to haul a 55 gallon drum of used motor oil to the tractor dealer and get a fresh empty. They use it to heat their shop

@Ozzie_Isaac - I'll try to help get the page moved. Seems most of my posts end up at the bottom of that 30 post per page thing. Here goes.

Got an e-mail early this morning from the Tile Guy. Wanted to know if this coming Monday would be good for me for them to start the tile job. You have to know that was one of the fastest response times ever for me.

So with that work on the near horizon I had a few things to get done first. Started with protecting the light switches and power outlets.
Took all the cover plates off and taped over with painter's tape. These are Decora plates that SWMBO just had to have. Light switch (big rocker switch) on left and power outlet. Painter's tape goes around the back and sides so the electrical connectors should not be affected.

Same type switch at top, electrical outlet on the right.
Switched outlet at the bottom of the wall.

Of course I had to protect the ceiling from over spray.
This picture was taken from inside SWMBO's closet.

Next up is mixing the mud to spray Orange Peel Texture on the big wall and the two small side walls. Never done this before but I have a small compressor, a borrowed hopper gun, and a need to get this done today. Reading the box for the mud it indicates that I need to mix it and let it set for 15 minutes and then add a little water to make it a thinner mix for the Orange Peel texture.

Steal prices are still relatively high. Not as high as they were a couple months ago but still plenty high compared to the last several years. Scrap yards are making a killing right now.

OK. Spraying on Orange Peel Texture is not going to be a new line of work for me. Did all the prep work, including putting down a drop cloth.

    @Ozzie_Isaac -
this is where I probably should have stopped and used my best tools (wallet and telephone).

Mixed up the mud per instructions on box and let it sit for 15 minutes. The box made 1 a 1/2 gallons of mix which was way more than I needed - but I took care of that problem first thing.

Didn't realize how heavy that bucket was and while trying to add mud to the hopper gun I spilled about half of it on the floor. So the mud had more time to set up while I cleaned up the spill. No photo I can share of that but the image of all that mud on the floor is indelibly etched in my noggin.

I am spraying this on already textured and painted walls plus all the newly mudded large wall so when it is painted again it should look close to the original; I think. Small left side wall section shown above.

The remainder of the left side wall.

    Small right side wall.

The large wall with all the patches, top left portion.

Large wall , bottom left portion.

    Top right side large wall.

Bottom right side large wall. This part has some runs that I will sand and redo with a spray can of Orange Peel texture when it is all dry and the tile is in.

It isn't terrible for a first attempt at this but it can and will be better. Paint will covers a multitude of sins, but a large strategically placed, framed piece of art work might be a better choice. As long as I don't put a nail thru a copper water pipe trying to hang it.
