A fusillade of gun fire, but now they know they are not welcome.

Point of order : @eoin and I have banned the C word until February 2022
Hahaha, the C word in British context is usually not referencing the sport.

The first Brit I ever worked with dropped the real C word in a meeting as casual as saying hello.  It was hilarious watching the meeting grind to a complete halt and everyone stared at my friend.  The leadership was left completely dumbfounded.  He probably could have kicked a puppy and not had the same dramatic impact.
I had a similar experience in reverse working with a few Irish lads whose deployment of the word was extensive and in their opinion highly unremarkable.   Probably my sheltered Southern softy upbringing provoking my alarm.

What’s comical about feral hogs in Texas is we have them in NW Louisiana at my deer lease. By the 1000’s. We get paid by a trapper who comes and collects them live out of our traps to sell to those hog hunting guides in E Texas. He pays us by the pound.

My office that I never go to anymore was 6 feet from the server room door.  We had a 1U server that was as loud as a military jet.  I would b*tch at them if they left the door open longer than a few seconds.  We've eliminated most of the servers there as we're moving everything we can to the data center in MN.

Severe thunder storm warning and tornado watch until 11pm here in the Twin Cities. Strange times. I just removed the flag and dropped the flag pole. Talks of 80mph winds tonight.

I'm hoping for the best tonight. We had 12 to 18" of snow in the Twin Cities Friday night. We had highs in the 50/60's today and now everything is wet. It's going to get down to 25 degrees tonight. Tomorrow morning is going to be scary.

Stay safe.  Sounds like you are in for a doozy of a day tomorrow.  Hopefully you don't have to drive anywhere.

Thanks. I have a 20 mile or so round-trip to work tomorrow. We are fortunate in some ways to be in the cities with salt trucks running around. I'm sure it's going to be a slow moving commute. I do worry about people who have much longer commutes in more rural areas.

I’m getting the play by play from a close friend who lives there. He said it’s already been crazy. 18 inches of snow then 57 degrees. Said the roads were fogging so hard from the heat on top of the snow that it looked like a horror movie by his house. Should be a nice sheet of ice for you guys tomorrow. Time to hunker down.

I mean, I understood that the Gunners were fighting for a Europa spot this season, but at least this year it was with a bunch of kids you could dream on growing up and being something.

There is a clear top 3, and Man U should have too much raw skill not to take the last CL spot.  I’ll be happy finishing 5 or 6, celebrating a St Totteringham’s Day and seeing Odegaard, Saka, Smith-Rowe, and the defense growing into a squad that can challenge for the league in a few years.

Central Iowa today was 74° and balmy.  The roads looked like it had rained this morning, turns out it was due to the high temp and humidity and the concrete asphalt still at ~40° and was condensation.  Storm system rolled through around 6 this evening, temp dropped from the 60’s to low 40’s in maybe a minute as leading edge hit.  We had some small hail, gusts in the low 60’s, and some heavy rain, but avoided the really nasty stuff.  We still have power.  Was having some bad thoughts of the derecho from over a year ago looking at the system as it rolled across.

Supposed to have gusts into the 60’s most the night with winds prevailing in the mid 20’s.

@dbCooper - I think is in eastern Nebraska, hope you all came through ok.

That's my read on things as well - at least as far as this season goes.  I'm not sure how much potential those young players have or how well Arteta will be able to get the best out of them.  That's what makes it fun to watch I guess.

Hope everything went well last night.  Looking at the news, there was very crazy weather including hurricane force winds.

All good at the Cooper Homestead, thanks for the well wishes.  Not true for many others in the path of that nasty storm.  Really feel for them.
Minor stuff, have a umbrella attached to my pergola, to give cover to the Egging area.  My repairs from several years ago did not hold.  Couple 1" diameter oak struts I had spliced in snapped...

Three girls aged 6-12 live next door, they love their trampoline.  It did not fair well...
