    Close to optimum middle-aged man day;
    1) Walked dog with no interruption from other walkers and caught up on some podcasts
    2) Dutifully conveyed SWMBO to the shops and was allowed to stay in the car while she went inside
    3) Conducted precise and considered pottering around the garden for 2 hours & with the benefit of many years experience I sought, then executed SWMBO's list of garden tasks first
    4) Sprayed heavy duty detergent and then hosed down the underside of the cars
    5) Had a bonfire, of sorts, in the chiminea.  Man need fire, am I right?
    6) Indulged myself by turning on the hot water early - not the immersion heater, I'm not a lunatic, and now off for a bath with a O% Guinness.   Who knew that was the nectar of the gods?
    7) Only downside is grand-son sitting tonight only commences once he's been bedded down.  But maybe he'll wake up and want to hear about my day?

@JohnInCarolina - you are correct.  It is much lighter than the perceived content and is at 4%.  Guess @CPFC1905 gets after it in fine fashion.   =)
I’m thinking the truth is that Ed’s more worried about the calories than the alcohol content.  After all, that Brosnan-like physique doesn’t maintain itself!
Actually Guinness isn’t that far off from the bud lights of the world when it comes to carbs and calories.

  • Just finished taking the kids to see the new Spider-Man. 1st time in a theater since last year. I don't see a way theaters stay in business much longer at least in the way they've been the last 15-20 years or so. As these huge megaplexes. I see them becoming smaller in scale with maybe 5 or so screens.

My son just asked me if people cook pigs that have an apple in their mouth or is that just in the movies.  This looks great!

You know the apple doesn’t have to go into the mouth. You can put it other places to elicit a different response. Just depends on what you are looking for.

You make an excellent point!  However, if your guests like anus, that is less for you.

Got in the truck to drive to work this morning and the thermometer said it was 32 degrees. Luckily I have the heated seat and steering wheel option.

The boys are on the way back from Spiderman, so I made them some tea ready for when they get back. Jerk thighs, chips, dal, brinjal bhaji and freshly baked sourdough bread (Anne made that).

That doesn't look like any tea I've ever made or had.  My tea just looks like tea.

And as long as we're in the UK, I'm wondering if @Acn is starting to get truly hopeful about his Gunners... or if he recognizes that it is the hope that kills you.

Pretty sure if someone told me this is what to expect in the way of tea, I would’ve given up coffee years ago!

The Gunners are just teasing him with some easy on the eye flowing football before crashing and burning.
