The boys are on the way back from Spiderman, so I made them some tea ready for when they get back. Jerk thighs, chips, dal, brinjal bhaji and freshly baked sourdough bread (Anne made that).

Pretty sure if someone told me this is what to expect in the way of tea, I would’ve given up coffee years ago!
You eat tea at tea time, early evening. Ed may disagree, but he's wrong.

That doesn't look like any tea I've ever made or had.  My tea just looks like tea.

And as long as we're in the UK, I'm wondering if @Acn is starting to get truly hopeful about his Gunners... or if he recognizes that it is the hope that kills you.
The Gunners are just teasing him with some easy on the eye flowing football before crashing and burning.
    SSSHHHHH!

(Whisper voice):  I know that.  Pretty much everybody knows that.  He even knows that.  That's what they do.

I'm just wondering if he's still falling into the trap of being hopeful anyway.  Some sports fans can't resist it.

I told you what my expectations were - Europa, St. Totteringham's Day, improvement amongst the youth (players and manager).  And yes, I'm happy to see the Gunners beat teams they should beat, and to do it with style.  It is certainly more enjoyable to watch the Leeds game yesterday, versus eking out a 1-0 win over them.

Besides - everyone knows that the truly delusional Arsenal fans this Christmas are watching YouTube highlights of the Norwegian National team and reading stories about how close Odegaard is with Erling Haaland.  I'm not nearly that bad.  =)

In the US, particularly in the South and Southwest, anus and intestine are often served as a faux substitute for squid and calamari.  Only the cognoscenti are aware of this.

Yes, but the enormous relief of waking up hangover free is a good off-set.  Does taste lovely, though.
Regular Guinness isn’t that heavy, alcohol wise, is it?  What’s it like, 4% ? That’s practically considered a non-alcoholic brew here in the states these days.

the problem isnt the 4 percent alcohol, its that you sit down to have one royal pint of guinness, and stand up after 18

This rings true to me, with the exception of the "stand up" part.

Maybe so but it is one of only two vaccines that seems to work on Omicron according to this morning’s newspaper.

Well the Moderna shot is half the previous dose of 100 units, so 50 . Pfizer is the same sized booster a e previous 2 shots or 30 units. So your Moderna shot is approximately 1.7 times stronger than your previous Pfizer dose.

I got my Moderna booster last Monday, Tuesday I was just plain tired and worn out, went to bed before 8 pm Tuesday night and got up Wednesday feeling great.  Wife had the same when she got hers Wednesday.  I’ll take it over having Covid.
