@dbCooper - Vaseline to break down the Superglue. Doesn't help with the past stupidity and might not work if the numnuts put it inside the valve stem cap. When emergency room doctors use Superglue instead of stitches, they use Vaseline to break it down and remove it. Don't ask me how I know.

Took both the car and the truck in for Emissions testing/Payin' the Guv'nor.  Wish I'd bought the car on a different month, d'oh.

I some fields knocked over here on my way home from work. It was pretty nuts for about 30 minutes. There was no heads up. It went from no wind to straight line 80 mph.

There is a serious strip of damage here in central Iowa, north of Des Moines and south of Ames.  Tree damage, houses without roofs, whole buildings and bins twisted up like pop cans. Grain elevators to the south and southwest of us took terrible damage.   Crop damage on the corn is like nothing I have ever seen. We don’t have power, which I would call passing as unscathed.  Hurricane type sustained winds.

This is a field of corn that was roughly 9ft tall.

  • We caught 1” in about a half our last night. I was trying to watch for Perseid with no luck, so I spun my chair around and watched the storm roll in. Pretty sure we took a lighting strike in the yard somewhere, good stuff.

winds are crazy this year. took me a few hours standing my small raised bed tomatoes and peppers back up. raided the neighbors yard for more cages. the raised beds are protected by a 60 foot tall river bank. a small microburst is the only way i can see that happening

Glad you got some rain, that bumper corn crop in the Midwest just took a hit.

If anyone should own a Yukon Denali it is Yukon Ron. It should almost be a tax write off for you.

its as nice as the cadillac escalades that seem to get keyed in parking lots enough that you really start to notice it.
