The Mercedes-Benz EQS, all-electric concept car; wow.  The second half of the video is about the CQ, no good information other than that it's expected to be in production in two years.
Or you could get a Tesla now. I am keeping an eye on the Model Y for about a year from now.
Give me a 1Ton dually any day.  Until I can haul 20,000 lbs for 350 miles between fueling, and refuel in 15 minutes, I'm out.

I do like the tech and the cars are really cool, but good ol'e fossil fuel has its place.
Not for much longer.  Electric vehicles are the way of the future.  They’re just better products. That’s why all the leading manufacturers are moving in that direction.
I have no doubt it will eventually go that way.  Once you hit my needs for around $75k I would be very interested.  Until then fossil fuel have their place.  Even as government is doing their best to EPA them to death.

The current Tier4 regulations for diesel almost leave the exhaust cleaner than the inlet.

Yep, Elon just installed a new single piece casting machine in Fremont this week. It replaces 70 individual pieces that had to be assembled. That should lower costs. He is also announcing about a 20% improvement in the battery this September. Again could either lower costs or increase range.
Hopefully by then they will resolve the fit and finish problems.

The exhaust system recently passed the transmission making it the second most expensive component that the auto maker installs . This is a generality and a word of mouth statement that was just common knowledge while I worked in tool and die. Some of the cars have 6 catalytic converters, each with a pre and post sensor.

I met a guy who has a model Y.  He showed me dance mode.  It was hilarious and awesome at the same time.
Mercedes has had something similar since 2006. The car actually "dances" on the suspension system. It bleeds the air from the hydraulic suspension after you have a need to open the system. I used to run that for demos at events. Very cool.

But meeting those regs is a challenge for the passenger mkt. The recent litigation against most of the manufactures for cheating those regs is the reason it's hard to find one now.

Hang on the trucks are coming. One thing to remember, we have been hauling people and freight via rail on electric motors since ole Casey Jones hung up his lantern. It's just a matter of refining of the tech.

In '06 I visited a MB fuel cell research facility adjacent to the AMG factory in Affalterbach Germany. Took a fuel cell powered bus down the highway at 80 mph. Impressive tech if we can work out some kinks.

Relaxing after a rough few days. Found it hard to bite my tongue with one owner ..and truth be told probably didn't do it well enough as gave a couple of opinions.

..Pet had a massive heat stroke (owner's fault)...transferred in from his regular vet to our critical care center..Owner was trying to place blame on the reg vet if dog died....no it's not because he was locked in a car for 7 hours at all  :s
If dogs are reported locked in hot cars here, the police will break the windows and the owners may get prosecuted.

If you ever wondered why men's and women's shirt/blouse buttons are on opposite sides (yes, a slow day here  B) ) below is an explanation:

"During historical periods like the Renaissance and the Victorian Era, women’s clothing was often much more complicated and elaborate than men’s - think petticoats, corsets and bustles. But while rich men often dressed themselves, their female family members most likely had servants to help them put on their clothes, both out of luxury and necessity. To make it easier for servants to button up their employer’s dresses right, clothiers might have started sewing buttons on the opposite side. Eventually, as clothing became more and more mass-produced, women’s clothes kept being made with the buttons of the left, and the design became standard, Benjamin Radford wrote for Live Science in 2010.

That’s one explanation for why women’s clothes button on the left - but why would men’s clothes always button on the right? That particular tradition might have roots in how men once dressed for war, as Megan Garber writes for The Atlantic. Just as wealthy women needed servants to help them get dressed, men’s clothing might have taken cues from military uniforms. "

If truly interested after the above, I'm sure there are many research papers on the topic.  Have a great day and visit the Zoom session this evening (Friday).

Homemade insecticide soap is easy to make. Water, dish soap and vegetable oil in a spray bottle. Works well on aphids. And it won't harm the ladybugs 🐞

Thanks all for the tips with regards aphids/tomatoes.
There are lady bugs in this area (SE Nebr) naturally, or unnatural I suppose as 90% of what I see are the Asian type.  I don't have ready access to get and release some on the plants, plus with my luck they'd just fly away.
Going to give the soap a try with this recipe...
Odd thing to me is, I've grown tomatoes in this spot for many years without any issues, until now.  2020?  @Canugghead squirrels and rabbits are prevalent here, having Beagles solves that issue.  Curious how your pepper solution works out.
