Just started our 4 day holiday weekend with a meal at our favorite restaurant .   The food is outstanding, my only complaint is the skimpy wine pour.  =)

Were you expecting a mason jar? Come on up, I will fill your red dixie cup.

Dude I have had "fishbowl" margaritas that were not that big.

    Happy 4th my friend.

Breaking down 4 strip loins and 25lbs (10 whole skirts) of Heartbrand akaushi skirt from another successful parking lot deal yesterday. I’m keeping 2 loins for me and parting out the other 2 for buddies. Took 3 hours to break them down, cut into steaks and bag them up. I still have one loin left whole and 4 skirts to clean up as well. I could totally be a butcher in another life.
.....any chance I am one of those buddies? I have recently relocated. I can get you my new address if needed.

I am currently one third deep in to a 1 hour queue to get in to Ikea.
When Ikea is the light at the end of the tunnel - that’s not a good sign.
Good time to fake a heart attack.  I feel I would enjoy the line outside more than being inside.  On my last Ikea trip, we hauled a 30' enclosed trailer to the store, so, you know, there was no stopping "us."

    Truck maintenance
I never understood why Toyota used drum brakes on the rear of the Taco 😐
I’ve thought the same.  It still stops do I guess I’m ok with it
Supposedly more dust, dirt, and mud resistant.  Rear brakes do not need the same stopping power, so other benefits out weighed switching to discs.
Do the higher trim levels use drum brakes as well?

    Swatting flies.
If you are indeed playing with flies, then the bug-a-salt is more fun but if your flies are a little bit more rascally your going to need something that packs more of a punch.

I did consider that very point.

We queued around a semi-enclosed car park under the store,  the wind ripped through and it was very gloomy.   I was surrounded by a sea of forlorn, lost souls with blank hollow expressions.  Many wore ill-advised clothing for both the conditions and their physique.  There was no chatter, no laughter, no bon homie.   There was crying.  Mostly - but not all, by children.   Then we got in the store and the misery began. Oh how I missed those hours in the car park,  I pined for them in fact.

I am home now and never want to discuss that chapter again.  I went to the garage for a couple of hours to help me rationalise the darkest moments of the trip.

Learn from my pain.  Do anything to avoid the Ikea.  Ill-health, sudden onset fascination with musical theatre - literally anything.

Thank you for the laugh Sir!

I am so glad I outgrew (or old aged myself) out of wine.  Somehow for me queso is meant for Dos Equis dark.  But to each their own.   B)

I put holy voodoo on everything. Skillet potatoes. You are welcome.

Can’t wait to hear how the Texas Tandoori is although I think @caliking would string me up if I bought a bottled tandoor rub.

The fact you all believe @caliking doesn't measure is funny.  He just doesn't want to share the secrets.

Slight of hand?  Dancing girls distract you and he swaps for premeasured rub?
