  • Just happy to have football back. Nothing like a long smoker on the BGE and some football for an awesome fall weekend!
Except it’s still hotter than 40 hells.
    Burn less lump that way...

Watching it on my phone with no volume while holding the little one taking a nap... they don’t give you all of the commercials that way

They just have to hype up two mediocre teams opening up the season.

Two things-open the forum and now see we have two "Unanswered"... I am no help with that.
Second:  Played around with a couple of half co-ked chix over veggies this PM.
Extender retracted for the poor pix.
Friggin chix took around 90 minutes at 340-360*F to declare victory.  Tasty veggies as well.  Too long since I ran that cook.
    Thanks for lookin'.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I bet 100 bucks on the Bears and gave 3.5 points. My gambling is not off to good start this year.

    I hate Atlanta traffic.
    That’s moving pretty good.
It wouldn’t be bad if it was just rush hour. That’s all driving. It’s 15 miles to work and it takes an hour as long as I leave by 7. Plus I’m OTP north like 10 miles and work in peachtree corners so never really get near Atlanta. Can’t imagine the people inside the perimeter.

That looks like fun. When the company I work for got bought I had to drive to Tucker every day. About 4 hours a day in the car.
I live in P'Tree Corners and work on the SW side of ATL - 30 miles door to door.  I leave at 5:30am so it only takes me 25 minutes.  If I left at 7 it would take an hour.

Yeah, I’m 53 miles from downtown and it usually takes about an hour leaving at 5:30 or so. The worst day was 3.5hrs to Emory. It took two hours yesterday leaving at 8AM to get downtown.

I don't mind the traffic (as much) in the afternoon but I can't start my day that way without risking a Kurt Russell "Falling Down" moment.....that's why I never adjusted my schedule back to pre I-85 bridge fire/collapse.

I think lane splitting in California has been legal forever.  Legal in Texas now too, I think.  Once in a while you get an **** on a bike, but you get that regardless.  I think it works and makes sense.
"Filtering" is now legal in utard; traffic must be stopped at a stoplight, and bikers are permitted to filter up to the front.  Not on interstates.  I haven't tried it, yet.  They'll be revisiting the law in a year or so, see how its working (I haven't really heard how its going, one way or the other).

Much more flexible here, stationary or slow moving traffic. So filtering on the motorway is good if stopped, or if 'slow', which leaves  lot of room for interpretation. I won't wait in a queue if I'm on a bike and it's legal (or at least not definitely illegal). You also have to understand that a lot of car drivers will pull over to the edge of the lane to make space for bikes here, the whole door opening thing is a new one on me.

Enjoying a beer at the MSP airport.  I have a few hours layover here.

Really good week out at Sandia.  I got a lot of stuff done, and they’re very happy with the work I’ve been doing for them.  They’ve been funding my research for 11 years straight now.
    Awesome !!

You were in Albuturkey during the chile-roasting season; did you get downtown (or, really, anywhere in town) to smell the wonderful roasting aromas?
