    Our morning shift is midnight to 0800. Makes for a **** home life sleeping all day, but I try to sleep from 0900 to 1500 and have the evening awake

    Took a walk from our holiday house this evening, this old tree with a swing is down in the valley bottom about a mile from where we're staying. Anne on the swing. After this we had a climb to the top on the other side and then down into a working quarry, back up and home across Bodmin Moor. It's a cool walk, done it before (we've stayed here at least once a year for over 15 years).

    Did these St. Louis style ribs on the MiniMax turbo raised direct.Had to cut them in two pieces to fit.

    Served with homemade potato salad.
    100 minutes at 350 degrees was perfect, but next time I will do indirect.

    We got to 10,880 or thereabouts, and we picked up a severe winter weather advisory, 3 hours into the attempt. 9-14" of snow forcasted, so we turned back.

    And we were glad we did.

    We caught it all. 

    Rain, sleet, hail, and snow, and lightning. We got back to our VRBO in Estes Park (7795. Ft) and it was not nearly as bad as the upper elevation in the Northern Rockies.

    Snow should be ending today....hopefully.
