Calibrating thermometers and probes. Thermometers were about 15 degrees off. Probes were close enough.

I calibrate my thermos about every 6 months.  Rarely need to change the calibration on 3 eggs.

I was working on a backpack blower years ago. I had no idea it was floooodeded, so first thing is to check the spark I took the plug out laid it right in top of the cylinder and pulled the rope!

Long story short it bellowed flaming mixed gas fire balls all over the shop.
That was first time I had used a fire extinguisher for anything other than a prank.

I have a spare spark plug gapped to 3/16" to check spark with. If it can make that gap its strong enough!

Gas is flowing all the way through the carb, I cleaned the sediment bowl this morning. Will likely get a new set of points and a condenser in the morning and have another go at it. Probably check compression too

Sounds like you are on the right track. Clean or replace the plugs in the engine even if they are newer. They foul easily if there is an oil use issue.

Called my 13yr old daughter yesterday and asked her to go into the basement freezer and pull out a pork butt for this weekend.  Came home to a full packer sitting on the counter.  SMH.  Plans change.
If my 4 year old could carry one she would do the same thing.

Just left a town meeting about my neighbor kid who's getting out of prison. We get to welcome back a level 3 sex offender into the neighborhood. Hurray. I've been fortunate to have never met or seen the jacka*s in the 8 years of living here in the neighborhood. I think it helps there's a police officer on top of his a*s next door. Fun times for everyone.
Do I want to know what qualifies as a level 3 sex offender?  I don’t think I do.

Fortunately it has never been anything physical. A few flashing incidents, cell phone recording in a bathroom, and been caught window peeping two different times.

It sucks having him in the neighborhood however you look at it. I've known about him but have never seen him. At least there's a 5 year probation period with his release.

She was thinking why have pork butt when there is brisket! You taught her well.
Funny you say that because all along I've been looking at it as though I've failed teaching her about the different cuts.....never thinking she did it on purpose!  She is the most street smart of the 3.  Sneaky little thing!

That story from a couple days ago about the fellows buying an old van and finding a brick of heroin...
    Still a funny story tho.

Just arrived in Cornwall at midnight - 5:45 hours with 1 stop for coffee, 315 miles. The A30 was still busy when we turned off just before midnight, bank holiday weekend and school half term make this a busy travel day, so happy with the trip. I did the driving, Anne is unpacking while I have a glass of red.
