    Funny because its true.

I voted via absentee ballot a couple of weeks ago. Was glad to be able to do it at my leisure cuz there were 22 candidates for about 6 city council seats, three for Mayor (which is just a figurehead position here), and about a dozen for  about 5 school board seats. Also two state constitution amendments. And also a US Senate and House race (those were the easiest to decide).

That was a lot of little ovals!

Trying to figure out how to move the cursor outside of the quote box. Why is this so hard?

If you have the cursor inside the quoted area (say you are editing/deleting) and the page saves to draft while it’s in there, it can be a real pain to get out the box. Try double clicking inside the quoted box and then move outside the box and quickly single click. Usually it works good on an iPhone. Don’t know about on a computer though.

I've even tried switching over to raw HTML and adding a page break after the closing quote tag.

I'll have to give that a try.  What I had started doing is typing just a single letter outside the quote box first, jump into the quote box, and modify/FTFY/plagiarize to my heart's content, and then I'm always able to click next to the letter outside the box (this is on a 'pooter, OS X).

We have vote-by-mail, and drop boxes situated around town.  I hadn't driven my new car yesterday yet, so to save a $0.50 stamp I drove the car to the box, dropped the ballot in, and then thought I heard a humming/slicing sound.  Then I noticed the bottom-right corner of the box had the signature "Banksy"!! :o:

Got my bad tooth extracted this morning, under anesthesia for the first time in my life.  They started the IV, started clamping all kinds of hardware onto me, but then started removing it again; I looked at one of the nurses with a quizzical look and she said, "We're done.  Wow, you snore loud!"  Not a bad way to do it, although I doubt if it was worth $400+.  I was a bit woozy standing up but otherwise no side effects at all, I certainly could've driven home myself (especially with a nap first).  Had some soup and will get some reading done before the election returns start rolling in.

I'm helping my son with Spanish when my wife says "I'm going upstairs to check the poles" but didn't give me any sort of wink/nod. So now I'm wondering if I should follow her? Being a guy is so hard sometimes.

Just had to spend time on the XL to keep my mind off current events - sometimes it's just needed to remain sane.

Had to try some pork chops and cauliflower - my own way:

Stuffed chops with 3 cheeses, garlic, greek yogurt, spinach and other stuff

Cauliflower steaks with olive oil and DP Curryish, finishes with green onions and bacon.

    On the grill we go:

Drank some Prosecco with my bride of 47 yrs and other vino - kinda fuzzy at this point.  The light started to go away, but did get finished.

    Final result:

She liked it so that's what matters.  I'm gonna stick to alcohol.  Makes everything seem better (usually).

    On a related topic:

Sorta melancholy right now - as many of you know middle Tennessee had bad weather last night/this morning.  There were tornadoes around us (we moved recently from Franklin area to Murfreesboro to downsize and be easier to get around).  Well, we did follow the news as best we could and it seemed as if the bad stuff was close, but it calmed down and we got to bed after 1:00 happy to have it miss us.  This morning, we found out it really didn't miss us.  One of our high school class mates (and a member of our new church in Murfreesboro) daughter in law died when an ef3 tornado destroyed their home in Christiana, Tn.  What a way to open to the news this morning.  Just can't imagine losing a child.  We all have a lot to be thankful for whether we realize it or not.

Then our youngest daughter let us know that someone she knew died last night in an auto accident (Mark Bilbrey - son of Keith Bilbrey a Country music/ Grand Ole Opry personality in Nashville).

Thus I decided that I should post a little more often (isn't hard since I almost never post) and just try to enjoy things a little more.

And I'm going to actually openly pull for KY over Dude - they're SEC after all.

    Have a good evening everyone.

Great plan my friend. Hoping for the best for those impacted by the F3.

Great looking food and terribly sorry to hear the bad news. We all should really just slow down and enjoy life a little more. You never know what tomorrow will bring

Just returned from being a precinct worker.  Polls opened at 6 AM (EST) closed at 6 PM (EST).  Took about 45 minutes to get everything ready and a good hour to verify and compare all the numbers.  48 % turnout although no really contested races in my district.  I'm too hold for those work hours  ;)

I did. She wanted to know why I wasn't helping my son with Spanish.

Thank you, you're good.  Those of us who voted early/by mail didn't get a sticker either.

Awesome cool @Possumtrot. I totally agree, you should post more cooks when you turn grub out like that. And if others are like this one, they deserve their own thread.
