If they do that, they deserve the outcome.

Those kind of folks have more dollars than sense. Notice that I used “sense” not cents.

There are some young folks with McLarens that I’ve seen at Emory. Hard to tell these days if their parents bought them or if they are self made. There’s a lot of young money out there.

I bought a 1988 Jeep Wagoneer with the help of small loan from my parents when I was 17-18. During the college prep thing my mom made a comment that if I got the tuition scholarship I had applied for, they would forgive the loan.

I got the scholarship, she was true to her word.

Me in front of my campfire tonight. Trees skids etc. Kinda sad that FD didn't show up this time.

It was large.  80 foot tall flames at peak. In the pic I am 30 foot in front of the base.  Too hot to be closer.  We stood 150 foot away to be comfortable

GAAHHH would you PLEASE reduce the size of the photos in your multi-dozen-photo posts?!?!?   There are threads here I can't even open anymore.
This matters for those of us with a sh1t internet connection. Plenty of cooking threads I open and then close again because the pictures load so slowly that I just give up and move on.

For at least the last 18-24 months (probably longer), I've been resizing my pics before uploading. But hey, I believe in bandwidth responsibility...

I am still up babysitting a whole brisket that I tried smoking on my XL BGE.  Its now in foil and in the oven.  I have probably done about a dozen long cooks on this thing and about ready to sell it as I cannot seem to keep the fire going long enough for a long cook.  I want to get an old fashion smoker where you can get to the fire and tend to it.  The whole reason I got this thing was because I was told I would NOT have to babysit it!  But this is worse, since when the fire needs tending, I can't even get to it!  Can you tell that I am pissed off?  And I am an insomniac who often stays up until 6am anyway.  A career of years of shiftwork will do it to ya.  Ok rant over.  suggestions, links appreciated, I will be searching, but I think I tried everything.
