    Dan,

Despite many trips to the area, I’d somehow never heard of this place.  I’ve driven the Turquoise Trail route up to SF too.

Anyway, sadly it seems he’s not open until Friday and after we’re set to return.  I’ve made a note of it and will try to hit them up the next time I’m out.  Thanks for the tip!
Kakawa Chocolate House in Santa Fe is also a very good option as they also have some very interesting combinations of flavors.  I had to "settle" for it the last time I was in that area for the same reason (Shugarmans is only open late in the week).

Also, La Fonda on the Plaza hotel has so much interesting art displayed in its public places that they actually have docent/historians that give tours there.  In addition to the interesting art, the history of that area and specifically that hotel as it related to the Manhattan Project is worth learning.

Also worth touring a pueblo - or at least learning about them.  Some of them are 1000 years old which is so impressive that when the Spaniards got to the area they actually recognized the local natives as being civilized, not savages, because of their homes and villages that had been established hundreds of years earlier.  As a result, the relationship between the natives and the Europeans has always been different there than anywhere else on the continent (if anyone knows of other examples, please educate me - I don't pretend to be all-knowing, I'm just repeating what I heard from our guide)

The diagnostic that preceded the repair is impressive @Canugghead
Just got lucky. Had to fix the computer mouse and old Thermapen recently, both due to micro switch problems, so when the microwave acted up with slight pull of the door handle I suspected right away it must be the darn micro switch(es). They are the weakest link that gets all the wear and tear.

Fortunately, there's a large electrical/electronics warehouse just 3km from home and I was able to buy just one, not set of two or three from amazoid. Bonus: Switch is made in Taiwan, importer and retailer are both Canadian  ;)

@Canugghead please air test those gloves. We see brand new gloves coming in and failing with pinholes
@hoosier_egger Thanks for the heads up. This is what makes this forum amazing, not just boring bbq stuff.

Full disclosure: Never crossed my mind to use shock protection gloves all these years. Bought these on impulse for peanuts at a warehouse, thinking it would be useful when hooking up emergency generator.

Surprisingly there was no sparks when I shorted the capacitor terminals with a large screwdriver with insulated handle.

After reading your PSA I decided to test for leakage. Inflated and immersed in bucket of water with the tire inflator running, no bubbles. Is this test adequate?

The question is no longer who will win the title and nor is it who will be relegated - but how I will sustain this solid gold, nailed on certainty brand of forecasting that keeps you all entranced?   Rhetorical question because you are deeply invested in the beautiful game and my, frankly astonishing use of the mother tongue (do you guys leave the U out of that too?) is sufficient, alone.   All that aside, Liverpool - well done and take the rest of the season off. Bottom three, start making plans for cost-cutting and travelling to miserable corners of England in a mini-van., twice a week.    For aficionados the six point difference between third and tenth is where the interest lies. Across that range awaits Champions League super-stardom and just another season - or more than £20m of income.

    Saturday

Forest v City, these teams finished last season 57 points apart, but City will need to win this to over take Forest this season. A further anomaly is that the bookies still have City at 16/1 (circa 6%) for relegation.  However, Forest have stalled and City will win this 1-2

Brighton v Fulham, closely matched teams eyeing Euro qualification, the filthy Seagulls have the edge but the Cottagers have sufficient talent to make this tricky. 2-2

Palace v Ipswich, this is a treacherous ‘should be simple’ game and despite the mighty Eagle’s strong form I just see ‘slip-up’. That aside, anyone else will see this pegged as a home win. 2-0

Liverpool v Southampton, cake walk 4-0

Brentford v Villa, the mid-table face off with 10th and 11th going head to head.  Mid-work game for Villa and home form for the Bees makes this a narrow home win. 1-0

Wolves v Everton, the Toffees have completely transformed following wee Davie’s return.  Wolves have a cushion over the relegation dotted line, but a series of defeats could re-introduce the jitters.  0-2

    Sunday

Chelsea v Leicester, the Foxes look a shadow of a PL team and the manager swap was compounded their frailties. The Chels’ are far from convincing- despite being in 5th but this should be no more than run out and simple snaffle of three points.  3-0

Spurs v Bournemouth, what a spectacular season Spursy Sprus are having. Two goals per game scored, but nestled in 13th.  The Cherries have lost the last two and will need to reverse that to stay in the Euro spaces. But 2-2 seems right.

Man Utd v Arsenal,  still very much misfiring and in 14th place for a reason the Red Devils are in disarray.  The manager has had the temerity to speak truth to power by suggesting Offshore Jim’s slashing of the workforce is creating an ill-feeling.  Not looking rosey in any direction. 1-2

    Monday

West Ham v Newcastle, the Hammers have cobbled together two victories and are realistically clear of danger - but thats not what they planned for at the outset so some thought questions need to be posed.  The Toon just can’t cement that top 4 place they believe they deserve, and more suspensions and injuries this week mean this is a tougher than necessary assignment. 1-1.

There you go, and don’t forget that the rugby six nations is in its penultimate weekend with the championship still open to three teams.

Thank you for another example of sublime prognostication.  While the difference in talent between the Scousers and the Saints would suggest that your prediction is correct, I don't think it will be that easy for Liverpool.  They have less to play for than the visitors in this once, despite what Arne is trying to tell them.

Also, I thought you might appreciate this - which effectively makes a Palace victory have the same likelihood as a victory by the Foxes.  It's not that it can't happen, but it likely won't.

Thanks, interesting stuff.   The increasing 'data-isation' (my word) of football is interesting and amongst a naive usership often draws attention to the measurable as opposed the emotional and instinctive, which is a big part of the beautiful game.
Also, the article misses that Mateta is injured because the Millwall goalkeeper kicked him in the head,  while he was standing at his full height of 6'4'    Millwall is a long internet rabbit hole, in and of itself.
But I like that they say we're great - I'll take that.
