I'd always assumed that baking powder was a pure chemical, that didn't degrade with age/exposure, which is why I never thought about it (I religiously date my spice, and especially my herb, jars when I bring them home, I know what time does to them).
I've never made pancakes nor do much baking at all, my BP was for "crispy oven-fried wangs", which never came out all that well for me; that's why I'm anxious to see if my wangs change with a fresh batch of BP. TBC...“I'll have what she's having."

A homemade fire starter. It's sawdust and candle wax I think. I showed them one of my favorite ways to start a campfire. The log cabin style construction.JohnInCarolina said:
