OT - What are you doing right now?

So, to loop you in - there was a full set of mid-week PL games which variously gave hope, contorted the title race and made me quite literally furious to the extent of such apoplexy that I could s drop the lid of my Large on multiple body parts,  ideally other peoples’.  Anyhoo,  we’re off again, the Gunners are **** of the north while Citeh have opted to go all Spursy, permitting Liverpool and Aston Villa in to 2nd and 3rd respectively. Heady times.

Palace v Liverpool,  oh - what’s the point?  Why do I do it? Scavenging a point against Hammers wasn’t great but it was better.  The mighty Eagles performance against Bournemouth was akin to pulling finger nails out, such was the pain.  Something’s got to give as we could end up relying on other teams come the Spring - and that never goes well.  Or Roy has to walk. 0-2 - probably a lot worse. 

Brighton v Burnley,  don’t even care about the fetid filthy wretched Seagulls anymore.  3-0, and that’s primarily so Burnley don’t accrue any points.

Man Utd v Bournemouth,  despite their cruise past Palace this week the Cherries aren’t good enough to repeat the trick at Utd who are 4 wins from 5 now.  2-1

Sheff Utd v Brentford, the trigger was pulled at the Blades and a new / old manager is at the helm for them.  Will the dead cat bounce - maybe, so let’s go 1-1.

Wollves v Forest, four defats on the spin for Forest and that can mean only one thing,  their manager gets sacked and gets appointed at Palace - because that’s how football works.  Old Gold will stroll this. 2-0

Villa v Arsenal, 3rd host 1st and that was not on the agenda when we started this farrago back in August.  But well done Micky Art’ and one time Gunners boss Unai Emery now at Villa.  A tippy-top match that should be tight and fun.  Just can’t call it, so 1-1 (yep, ducked it)

Sunday

Everton v Chelsea,  two wins this week for the Toffees as the points sanction has stung them in to life and their inexorable rise to about 10th overall, come May is now well on track.  Chelsea remain consistently inconsistent.  could go either way, but form says home win 2-1. 

Fulham v West Ham,  Goal glut mid-week for Fulham who scored five without reply, adding 33% to their tally to that point. Won’t happen again, for sure. The Hammers unbeaten in 4 will be a different gravy to hapless Forest. 1-2.

Luton v Man City, despite Citeh’s recent loss of focus ‘slumping’ to 4th only a massive shellacking is on the cards here. Haaland will fancy a double nat trick, by half time.  0-4. 

Spurs v Newcastle, welcome back Spursy Spurs - one point from the last 15 available, the slide is on and it feels just like putting your favourite shoes back on.  Toon still not really nailing on their Top 4 credentials. 1-2.

I had my first ever jab for it a few weeks ago and have the follow up next week.  Not quite sure why I 'qualify' but it's a nice ride out in the car and a chat to a friendly lady while she does the business.  However, it did leave me with a sore arm for about 10 days.  Nothing like actually having a bout I'm sure, but why do some jabs hurt more than others?

Don't answer that, to be honest I got bored typing it.

Thanks. Was lucky myself. I am younger than you were when you had it, @poster. Could feel it in behind my eye in that there was pain when I blinked, but like you, it never made it in. Funny thing was that I saw a Doctor Sunday when it was first emerging, but shingles was discounted because I “wasn’t in enough pain”. Had it been correctly diagnosed then, I could have been given antivirals that would have likely proven effective.
