Neat video about using water to achieve better browning on your foods.

That was 13 min well spent, thanks for sharing,  love it. I carmelise onion in bulk and freeze them for future curries, this is the most time consuming part of cooking curry for me, the water technique is going to be really helpful.

Neat technique. I've heard about an independent burger joint in Wisconsin that has been around for decades that cooks their burgers and onions that way. They have a large griddle that fills with a half inch or so of water to essentially "boil"/grill the food.

EDIT: Was bugging me I didn't remember the name of that burger joint so googling I found it is "Pete's" and has been around since 1909. The amount of water they use is about half what I said so only about 1/4" (5mm-ish).

Here's a vid of a fellow recreating the Pete's burger:

That's one type of guest we have. Others sold their house and are waiting for the economy to tank. I'll gladly take their money while they wait. Some are full time RVers and work in the area. Some are here because we are in a medical hot spot. We have a lot of great cancer and heart specialists here I guess. Some are moving here and house shopping. The market here is slowing but still hot like a lot of the markets. Nobody is really here in the winter because they want to be necessarily.

The absolute worst first half of a football game you could possibly watch if you're a Vikings fan. You could say the same thing for your Colts the second half. We listened to the 3rd quarter on the radio and watched the 4th quarter at our local bar. What a crazy finish!

I believe it was previously Frank Reich (fired Colts coach) for the Bills who had the previous comeback. I remember watching that game. He was a second stringer if memory serves me correctly. If so, pretty rich. 😁

Swiffer WetJet, motor is working but not pumping fluid.  Hate to do it, but going down the "not worth repairing" path on it.

Agree. They don’t cost enough to justify any sort of repair. Keep a few of the parts just in case, toss the rest

Sorry about multiple posts, using mobile version; egg temp is above 650 degrees while outside temp is 63. Gunk is sweating thru the dome. Well, that was the wrong photo but it is now accurate. Not sure what happened. Will adjust and hope temp gets where it needs to be.
