All this worry about them turning out, you guys should worry about @sgh eating both as a chef's treat while the oysters are cooking.

If I wrap it will be with paper. If the humidity is as high in Salado as it is in Dixie I will not wrap at all.

Dang-now that is one hell of a cooking return to the forum.  The expectations for the taste treat of the SRF Gold will either impact (negatively) the alcohol consumption or the goodness will be missed.  Either way a most eggcellent time will be had by all.
And there will be no need for any after-action reports for those of us not there-no need to grind it in any more :peace:

Wish it were so-but I signed the sub over a few years ago.  Besides where would VI park his Vespa?
Glimpse of my future:  My bucket list has Salado right up there.  And yes, I likely need counseling.  You all have fun.

Nice @SGH!  Way to pull out all the stops for Salado.

My only concern at the moment is that there won't be enough of @henapple's beer to go around, and with the lack of inebriation, people might come to blows fighting over some of the food.
