@Ozzie_Isaac - that is really livin' the life right there.  I'm sure it is fully staffed to manage your every need.
Plan on any short river trips?  Beautiful setting.  The river is clean now according to the mayor.  A morning plunge is in order.
No staff, it stays mostly moored.  This is part of a program called Thirdhome.  We are trying it for the first time.  No River plunge for me, regardless of cleanliness, it is very very cold!

    2# room temp cream cheese
    1/2 finely diced white onion
1/3 of a jar of diced jalapeno (or fresh)

cut backstrap into 1/4” medallions. Mallet into thinner pieces. Season and marinate overnight in red wine vinegar and honey

use stand mixer to blend cream cheese, onion and jalapeno

1 teaspoon of cream cheese mixture into the center of the flattened medallions. Roll and wrap with a 1/2 strip of bacon. Toothpick together.

grill over medium high heat till bacon is cooked

    Paris saga continues 👨🏻‍🍳

Houseboat on Seine will be an interesting story for another time, but we changed plans and were fortunate enough to find 3 hotel rooms together in the 8th arrondissement of Paris for the rest of our stay.  We had made friends with a concierge who helped make it happen.  Never a dull moment around here.

I don’t know anything about Paris but my assumption is that it’s the high rent district.

You speak French?  That would go a long way in Paris.

Yeah, we brought my kids and my wife’s little sister (5 people total).  The boat slept 10 so it was perfect for us, but it unfortunately was not what it was billed as.  We are working with the company who we booked it through.  Problems happen, but the real proof about a company is how they handle issues.

Finding rooms in Paris for more than 2 is very difficult, so we rented 3 rooms for the rest of the trip.  We are very thankful we found rooms.  We had one room last night for the girls, and my son and I stayed on the boat to pack everything and get it all brought to the hotel.

So far, this snafu has cost us about $10k, 2 days and negatively impacted the trip.  Thankfully everyone is pretty flexible and we are still having an amazing time.  Headed to Moulin Rouge tonight.

I have never been to France, let alone Paris.  This place is absolutely amazing. Shopping isn’t to shabby either.

During my 06 deployment we made port visits in France. Marseille and Toulon. I met my wife on that deployment (don’t tell Cap, he might try to Court Marshal me) and we were supposed to go to Paris. Somehow those plans fell through, I am envious of your trip.

While I could possibly be wrong I have a very strong inclination that 10k won’t make a man of your money even blink.
On a separate note, it looks like one heck of a trip. Enjoy sir 👍

I really think netjets should outfit some planes as RVs, so you can just fly to close in airports and stay in the plane then go somewhere else.
    Love you bro!
