Looks great. I would have probably made another egg or two for that haul! 😂

What recipe did you use, and were you happy with the results? My go-to for bacon is a Meathead recipe.

You have the lot for it, they are pretty passive and a golden won’t eat them. Fresh eggs and bug control. Let’s go!

I know right! We only had 1 egg. I asked the wife why she kept 1 egg. lol

I used Jess Pryles recipe below. First time using just white sugar. I think I prefer brown sugar or maple syrup. It was still delicious.

@alaskanassasin This may happen in the spring. I've been looking at adding Guinea fowl as well and letting them truly free range/roost in the trees at night.

When you expect other people to care as much as you do, you are simply
    setting yourself up for failure.

It is just a job for many people. How many kids dream of being an office assistant when they grow up?
I made a mistake during the interview and reference check process.  Thought I was hiring someone who understood the vision and said she was onboard and this would help her achieve her personal goals, which she would be well positioned for.

Turns out she wanted personal goals with a 5hr a day job including a 1.5 hr lunch.  Even though I have a very clear rec that defines all the activities and tasks.

oh well, better to know now than in a year.  Although it was clear about 2 weeks in that her experience/skill set did not align with her resume or interview answers, but that can be fixed through training.

boiler shop interviews are different, if they can weld they get hired, if they show up on mondays thats a good sign. no shows on fridays then they get paid on fridays and not thursdays. the rest can sometimes get fixed with rehab ;)

Back to the round-a-bout discussion.  Here is what we have in Arizona.  You can just drive straight instead of doing the roundy part, some don't even have the center decorations.  It is pretty nice option, and as you can see by tire tracks fairly common.  Basically it becomes a 4 way intersection with no rules.  Perfect.

i like the no slow down big rotarys but these tiny roundabouts are more a pain in the ...    they have been putting these on rural highways in the middle of nowhere in maine.  the drive straight over them happens when they get covered with snow, kinda wakes you up when you are driving 55 in the morning  dark thirty. you have to pay attention to the flashing truck tip over sign

lol, worked in a machine shop for about 4 years, if they were older and had all their fingers that was also a good sign, but not a requirement.  The **** I saw working there was wild, I cannot imagine your stories.

My frat house in college had an oven that looked like that. The cool factor was a lever on the right side that lifted the rack up under the broiler without opening the door....really nice feature

Ha, ain't that the truth. Love asking a welder to build up a bore that a machinist over shot, or getting a machinist to turn or mill some warped piece from the weld shop. Worse than little kids.

Well that looks fun!  I have a hydraulic leak somewhere and can't figure it out.  Not that I have looked too hard yet.  I also just bought a new "instrument cluster" as half of mine is not readable.  A cool $350 for a hunk of plastic with a plug on the back.  I can't see the fuel level or speed anymore.  I also bought a light bar that I need to install.  Previous employee thought they could fit under something and took previous lights off the roof.  Have you ever had to mess with the climate control?  My air diverter doesn't work anymore.  I think it is stuck on floor as I can't get it to defrost . . . which is now becoming more important as I plow.

  • I haven’t had any problems with my display that’s weird, was yours parked in the sun or something?  On the roof lights these things are ridiculously tall and I tell anyone visiting who is going to drive the kubota to wait until the garage door is all the way open or it will hit!

The heater/ac, blend door, and fresh air knobs are all pushing or pulling cables. I had the same issue as you, I felt the knob catching a little bit when coming off the forward vents and then something happened and I ended up with only forward vents.  After a year or so I finally pulled the dash and found the cable on blend door knob was kinked, I ended up lubing the crap out of it and switching it end for end, otherwise it would just re kink below the knob. There is still a slight hitch in the door itself but it looks like a nightmare to take apart so if I have anymore issues I will replace the cable with something beefier.   Also while doing all this I found that the cables are held/pinched in place with chintzy little metal clips that are a complete joke so it is possible that your cable has slid right out of this metal clip. I super glued them back in the clips when I reinstalled otherwise they weren’t going to stay put.

Water pump now and the blend door cables are literally the only repairs I’ve made in 1,300 hrs

  • I literally addressed the blend door issue because of not having defrost when plowing, last year I was cupping my hand by the vent trying to redirect the heat to the windshield lol

Also if you are in a pinch you can pull the lower dash skirt off and move the door by hand

No, not really parked in the sun.  Much of the time it is stored under a carport type structure or in the barn.  I don't know how many hours I have on it.  The door handle and latch has given us problems.  Currently the handle to pull the door shut is held on by a strap that runs inside the door panel.

I can have zero problems with something for years and as soon as an employee gets in it **** starts getting tore up.  If they crack the window a bit they won’t have to slam the door.
