That’s a bit too on the nose after yesterday.
I thought you would find it apropos.

I am wondering when "The Chaos Machine, Part 2" is coming out?

    The source of the pic-
The movie the pic is from is a great mental thriller, No Country for Old Men,  2007.  I am not the source of this material-but I have it on good authority.
Edit: I have not seen the movie but I do qualify as an Old Man.  Bonus points-with a lawn.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I suppose it would be too much to ask for sources?

How have you not seen that movie, Frank?  It’s one of the all time greats.  Given your affinity for Pulp Fiction, I am guessing you’d appreciate it.

All time greats?  I found it boring and derivative.  If you want a good movie about fate and mortality watch "The Seventh Seal"

Taking a breath…..dealing with a picky eater 9 year old who just got a mouth full of braces yesterday. Sore teeth expected. He’s had exactly zero protein today….refuses to eat 3/4 of the things my wife and I offer. He’s in bed reading a book. Hoping he sleeps all night. Kid gotta be hungry

I told my sister once in a similar situation that no kid would willingly starve to death. That my niece would eat eventually.

I am assuming this is a joke, but sometimes I wonder about you.

Anyway, here is a review of the movie, by another all-timer:

About the age I got braces too; I wasn't a picky eater but you just have to wait until hunger hurts worse than the teeth; he'll get there.  I seem to remember cold chocolate pudding worked well; not healthy but 48 hours of it won't hurt a 9-yr-old.

I've been out of that loop for a half-century ( :s ) am I'm a bit surprised that "braces" are still a thing; been seeing TV commercials of mail-order, clear-plastic bridge thingies that are supposed to straighten teeth, are they a scam?  I know mail-order/high-speed optical glasses have taken advantage of modern tech and the costs have bottomed out (same with hearing aids).

It was a joke, I do like The Seventh Seal, but calling No Country for Old Men boring and recommending The Seventh Seal, a movie about a medieval knight playing chess with Death is kind of the joke. They both have similar themes, hence the joke about derivative.

Unsure of the effectiveness of the clear variety. He’s getting a pallet expander installed in 3 weeks and headgear for nighttime 3 weeks after that. Kid can’t catch a break. Told him to blame his mom and her family for their teeth (wife didn’t like that too much lol)

We’ve made it beyond the 5th November and we’re staring down the barrel. A welcome change or puncture to momentum?  No-one yet knows - but we all knew the international break was looming so deal with it!   No mention of red, blue, elephants or donkeys here, but under the general heading of ‘confounding news’ Nottingham Forest are third.  There is no logic, science or musings of William Burroughs that would have predicted that.

    Saturday

Brentford v Bournemouth, what did I tell you about the Cherries being no push-over?  Evenly matched teams for this one and I think that casts the die for a draw. 2-2

Palace v Fulham, hot off an undefeated streak of two games the mighty Eagles are hot hot hot but will find a way to flail here? The Cottagers are good old mid-table stock and we haven’t been so far.  Head says 1-2, heart has checked out and is considering meat options for the weekend instead.

West Ham v Everton, never saw this but I am confident the Toffees will ease past the Hammers in the table after an ugly victory.  The ugly victory bit actually sustains for all Everton matches. 0-1

Wolves v Southampton, bottom host second bottom but it’ll be a decent match. Both teams suffering for their art by seeking to play good football, when we all know that effective football is what’s needed. Home advantage and better goal scoring record makes this a first win for the Old Gold. 2-1

Brighton v Man City, typical that the wretches host Citeh who are amid a result and injury crisis. Let’s just give them a Euro spot for next season now and save their legs. I suspect Pep will not permit a 4th straight defeat though and all manner of tactics will emerge. 0-1

Liverpool v Aston Villa, impressive capitulation by the Villa last week by going one ahead and losing 4-1.  But I did warn you about Spursy Spurs. Euro fatigue will kick in at some point, and the Reds are just the better team. 2-0

    Sunday

Man Utd v Leicester, the 9th new dawn for Utd after Sir Alex gets underway after this one, the new guy will be lurking over RvN’s shoulder. A fun filled frolic beckons, 3-2

Forest v Newcastle, well who’d have thought 3rd would be hosting 11th in this fixture?  Eddie of the Toon has got to be feeling the pressure and a win here could, in theory, take them back to 7th which is on the outer cusp of acceptability.  Will be fun finding out. 2-2

Spurs v Ipswich, ha - well, name your own score.  This would have been a game for the ages in the 1981/82 season as both teams finished in the top 4.  Different times. No wins yet for the Tractor Boys, and Spurs recent victory suggests a defeat this time. Therefore 1-1.

Chelsea v Arsenal, the hosts have usurped the Gunners by going 4th and frankly that’s no surprise. Three without a win for Micky’s lads and I am not sure the pressure suits them, or more to the point him.  There will be goals, no doubt.  3 feels low, 4 suggest a draw or too big of a win, 5 feels about right. 3-2 it is.

Just one question, ever thought of having a third political party?
