I used to cut the legs off my old jeans and tie them with a knot on each end. Those last a long time.shtgunal3 said:
Our golden doodle loves the cheap tennis balls but as @Botch says, they don’t last very long at all. The toy she loved the most was a large rope tied in knots that had cheap tennis balls between the knots. She would clamp down on it and sling her head around and beat the crap out of herself with it.Gulfcoastguy said:
My best chew toy so far for the pups was a buffalo horn.Ozzie_Isaac said:
They last a long time too. My pups usually destroy most chew toys, but these last. Pro-tip don't order the pink ones, they look like adult toys laying in your yard.TechsasJim said:
Just kenneled the pup for the night and has that same cactus. Surprisingly heavy for what it is…Ozzie_Isaac said:
After two dogs who snubbed anything but stuffed animals and soft drink bottles, I find that the sheepadoodle pup is nuts for plain cheap tennis balls.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Tonight was Zoomie Storm category 5 . He started with running around the room jumping from couch to couch, then moved on to slinging the big ball with a handle, harassing the old dog, unpacking and distributing 4 new socks while I was on the phone. Now back to the Buffalo horn. 57 pounds when we were at the vets Wednesday but she said that she thought he wasn’t going to get much bigger.

My big boy begging for cucumbers and broccoli while I was prepping dinner. It’s always a little crowed in my kitchen with him as my sous chef.

Yup , my parents Boston Terrier started dragging up a deer carcass piece by piece shins then the head. One of the neighbors much have poached a doe out of season. I live in town though.fishlessman said:hoping my new pup in a few weeks, picks up finding sheds like my current britt. he brings back sheds, deer heads, had a moose leg a few years back, what i think was the bone/cartilage of a side fin off a 7/800 pound bluefin etc. toys other than plastic water bottles dont last too long. he steals a stuffed toy out of the neighbors yard and theres a toy kill in the yard
my last britt found a festering bear hide one spring as things were thawing out. ran around with it superman cape fashion. i was about 20 miles off road camping for a week just after iceout, water temps were about 33/34f so a bath was out til i couldnt take the smell anymore. he did have fun with it before i picked it up with a stick and tossed it in the lake, what a mess. happened on the first day........

I don't suggest a Thermapen as a chew toy. But he does.

Beautiful fall day here in NC. All the boy wants to do is play this morning. I might just indulge him.

I need to stuff mine in the kennel. Dog has been an absolute terror today getting into everything. 2 mile walked helped a bit but then got feisty. One of those puppy days I guess.northGAcock said:

Looks like there's only about 3 hours to land, get the dog dropped off from the kennel, and get back on the plane for the delta nonstop. It's going to go pretty quick. Thanks though. Not liking this idea of flying with a pup under the seatU_tarded said:

Beautiful day after Thanksgiving here in NC, and the boy is happy just to sit in the sun and survey the yard for squirrels:

That upgrade has occurred since that picture. She had outgrown it for sure.Gulfcoastguy said:

Goofy story, but the pup was an early 13th birthday present for daughter #2 and with the wife being a photographer she went off piste at our family friend’s salon. This weekend was the 13th birthday pic. Apparently only took the pup 15-20 treats to capture this.

She is. The death of that deer is entirely on Mrs. Cooper.
