    I did. I just pull it off when I need to calm it down. I may get a wok burner but the egg works pretty well for me. 
    Started my wok adventure a couple of weeks ago and like you I've already started researching a dedicated wok burner. Highly suspect that's what my mid-year bonus is going to go to along with a Blackstone I believe.

    Mid-year bonus sounds luxurious. My company spends the back half of the year trying claw back what I made in the first half lol. 
    My company has an executive only mid-year bonus program.  For us non-execs it is called, "We need to meet metrics, you work harder for no more pay".

    I am usually on mobile (so no buttons) and I don’t do any of “the buttons” anyway. That said, I cannot imagine the magnitude of the jizzload of some people on here if we had a truth social button.

    How fast do these burners blow through propane? I suppose even the stupid high BTU's aren't actually on that long to heat a wok.

    That is like asking mpg for your Lamborghini.

    A 20lb propane tank holds about 420,000 btus.  So the 160,000 btu burner will get around 2.6 hrs at full whack.  I probably use full burner for less than a minute during any cook.  It os usually at 50% or less.
