Given the explosion of omicron, we have decided to cancel the plans we had and stay in. Now I'm on the hook for food and I think I'm gonna do a bunch of apps.

Have 2 slabs of baby backs on the menu for New Years Day. Todays menu went to the crapper pretty quick on me. Have a SRF black grade brisket sitting in my freezer. Was having friends over (it’s my 40th birthday today). Wife tested positive for Covid Wednesday morning…….sooo, simple rice and gravy for NYE. Celebrating solo

I will celebrate with smash-burgers first. I have been in the mood for those. That will be my birthday dinner tonight.
Tomorrow I will do a small prime rib for one. I have some scallops, also. Always need some seafood in honor of my mom who said it was good luck to eat seafood on New Years Day.

We are doing our annual shrimp/crab boil. Unfortunately minus the crab because of stupid crab prices. I throw in crawfish as well, but my wife and I are the only ones that will eat them

We are staying in also. I'll spend this evening on the deck smoking a couple of beef ribs I found in the freezer and infusing some honey with various herbs.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.
