People around here have not been wearing masks for months, like since summer.South of Columbus, Ohio.

Stuffed a big bird for the two of us… I was supposed to roast it for a Christmas diner with friends that got cancelled because of multiple COVID outbreaks around us. No clue what we are going to do with all the leftovers. I haven’t cooked a turkey in years and I can’t remember how long it takes but hopefully it is ready sometime for diner!

Outdoors really depends on your proximity to other people. Hiking, riding, etc., no need. Farmers market, city streets with other people around, absolutely.Love you bro!

Indoors in stores 50/50. Outdoors VERY seldom. But what still tickles me is seeing people driving in their cars all by themselves wearing a mask! HUH??? And I don't mean just having gotten in their cars, but out on the road!
-
I have found that inside mask usage varies considerably by location. Here in Durham it’s widespread. But drive an hour in any direction in NC and you’ll not see too many people inside stores wearing them, for example."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

I live in a town of about 18k. If I goto the Kroger it’s probably 80% masked. If I goto Walmart it’s probably 10% masked. You can infer that how ever you want…Large and Small BGECentral, IL

We allowed our employees to go mask optional once the states mandate was lifted. We are now reimposing masks effective tomorrow morning.Large portion of our staff refuses to get vaccinated for a myriad of reasons. Local hospital offered to come do vaccines on site for free. Exactly 3 of them got vaccinated. I’m getting my booster Tuesday morning. -
I don't really want to continue with this off thread run but I am beyond sitting back and seeing how those who have stepped up with the vaccine and to a lesser extent booster are being screwed over by those who won't.
The latest covid variant in much more contagious thus the opportunity to infect more people. The end game is generally assessed as less impactful. However, if you end up infecting many more than you will end up stressing the hospitals as has been seen across the country.
So, those who need non covid serious medical attention are being triaged. No need to be in this trick sack. But many continue to ignore the way out of this.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
