Your One Memorable Cook For 2021

I'm interested in seeing/hearing what a memorable cook might have been for you this year. This doesn't have to be your favorite or best looking cook but something that might stick out from others.
I'll start out. Nothing fancy but just some chicken thighs and macaroni on a smoker that I ended up restoring for its first cook. We had family and friends over making it a special day that stood out.
Do you guys/gals have any meals that stick out for you?

Umm, @WeberWho, you failed to mention the Frozen cupcakes…..Memorable for 2021, SRF wagyu brisket for Father’s Day. Got it all the way to FTC, played 9 holes of golf….then enjoyed dinner with my dad and the rest of our family

I don't seem to have the time to 'cue/egg as much as I used to, or would like to. Did a few fun, delicious cooks this year, that we really enjoyed.
If we're looking for memorable cooks, I'll go with the first cook on my steal-of-a-deal KBQ. caliprince heard me telling SWMBO about the deal I got on it, and couldn't stop talking about it for a couple of days. First cook on it was a smoked chicken, which caliprince LOVED. He asks for it every few weeks, more than just about anything else I cook for him. Makes my day, each and every time#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
Made my first dry aged meat. Pictures neither in order or rotated right. But, I am drunkish and do not care .
The fat lump was the best you could imagine. So tender, so flavourful, so perfect.
The gravy was even better... -
It would be hard to narrow it down to just one but I remember a few of @caliking cooks.

Memorable , appreciate the competition cooks are back, really missed everyone…when my kids come help, it’s even better

Very cool thread!
My most memorable cook was the prime brisket I smoked for my Dad's 81st Birthday. That's all he said he wanted this year. It was July 4th weekend, and I stayed up tending to it overnight so it was ready for lunch on the 4th. Good eating, good company and good times.

Hamburger steaks on the blackstone back in early summer. Topped with melted cheese, onions, shrooms, and gravy. Along with some of the vegetables from my raised bed this year. Stole the idea from a local restaurant that has made their name for many years with this dish. Usually served with steak fries.Definitely a mess to look at, but to reply to theme of this thread - these were memorable.Wetumpka, Alabama

My most memorable, was a brisket I cooked for a neighborhood get-together. Not that it was exceptional, just that all of the heck I caught from my family, because I offered leftovers to the neighbors, leaving us none.
Typically they are generous and have beautiful hearts, except when it comes to brisket (or perhaps that brisket?). Whatevs. I still hear about it, every time I light up the egg to cook anything.
They can turn on you quick, is all I am saying.

I already posted picks, but after not having access to my eggs for almost 7 months I did Thanksgiving this year. The turkey was about as good as it can possibly get .

I would have to nominate the Beef Wellington I did for New Year's Day, which is also our wedding anniversary. Both the meal and the occasion were memorable. I can't think of how I can possibly top it next month.XL BGE in San Jose, CA. Also a Pit Barrel Cooker, a Cal Flame P4 gasser, and lots of toys including the first ever Flame Boss 300 in the wild. And a new Flame Boss 500.

Four cooks standout for me by far.
Briskets for my 40th birthday party
My daughter cooking steaks in cast iron on her own. (11 years old). She followed a William Sonoma cookbook and crushed it.
Stuffed salmon my wife said we had to make for her parents.
Homemade sauerkraut using my grandma's tools from early 1900's. 30 lbs of cabbage and a few weeks in a red wing pot later we filled up a few ball jars. -
Some come to mind. The shrimp and chorizo fundido for Christmas 3 years ago, one or two of the spatchcock turkeys I made for Christmas, the peach preserved St. Louis ribs. But my favorite was marinating some pork tenderloins wit South Florida wet rub and then teaching my nephew how to cook them.
-
Not a fancy cook, but Norah Grace did this to help someone in need. It’s my favorite cook of all time. She amazes me everyday.

Kid’s 19th birthday in January. It was in the negative double digits the night before, and the Egg had a rough time maintaining temp. I had to babysit it all night. Final product, to include burnt ends, turned out killer.LBGE since June 2012

I remember a brisket I did late this summer where everything just seemed to go super smooth. Temps were consistent, stall was normal length time, bark was good. FTC for a few hours then served. Also really upped my pizza game this year.Mankato, MN - LBGE

Memorable for the wrong reason. No pics as it was salvageable but only around 50% quantity. Pork belly burnt ends done on my Pit Barrel using the grill rack (first and last time going the route). LBGE was on the pork butt, SBGE was volunteered to do some bacon wrapped shrimp so away I went. Definitely left them on too long for the glaze set up. Tossed the crunchy bites and there were too many. F' me.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
